Michael Chandler was offended by an Amazon commercial that aired during the UFC San Antonio broadcast. Chandler spoke up immediately after Holly Holm's unanimous decision victory over Yana Santos, following which she chastised the sexualization of today's youth in the post-fight interview.

Amazon has launched a worldwide brand campaign, Tache, directed by Olivia Wilde, that emphasizes diversity and inclusivity while explaining the many facets of its Prime membership. In the opening scene of the commercial, a young woman experiences facial hair for the first time. She considered shaving it off, but then recalled that several of her heroes sported facial hair as well, including Frida Kahlo and Freddie Mercury.

Later on during the UFC San Antonio broadcast, Holly Holm voiced the need to "protect our children" in the post-fight interview:

"I think it's just really sad the sexualization of our chidren. We need to protect them. Protect the children please.... Do anything to protect them."

Children can be sexualized in different ways, such as by being exposed to sexual content, being objectified, or being exploited for sexual motives. Long-term trauma and serious harm to a child's physical, emotional, and psychological health are possible outcomes of such behavior.

In response to Holm's remarks, Michael Chandler vented his frustration with the commercial on Twitter. He thinks that today's youngsters will be confused by the commercial because of its gender-bending nature:

"Right after @amazon hits us with some gender-bending, confusing, mustache-wielding commercial, @HollyHolm calls out the sexualization of today’s youth. Thank you Holly. #UFCSanAntonio."

Following Michael Chandler's remarks, a Twitter feud erupted, with several fans criticizing the UFC lightweight contender for his seemingly bigoted remarks. One fan shockingly wrote:

"That commercial is absolutely not the sexualization of youth. Social commentary isn’t for you Mike. Stick to collecting black kids."

Another fan reacted to Holm's comments, considering that she is a devoted Christian:

"It took courage for @HollyHolm to call out her own father like that."

Yet another fan questioned the intentions behind Holly Holm's comments that Michael Chandler may have misinterpreted:

"Or she was talking about the epidemic of sexual abuse in the Church - I'm sure being the "preacher's daughter"..... it's an issue close to her heart."
