What is the High Caliber Revolver in Rust?

The High Caliber Revolver is currently being developed within Rust's Staging branch. It will be featured as a tier-2 weapon in the game and will be craftable using the Workbench Level 2.

How to craft High Caliber Revolver in Rust

The High Caliber Revolver will replace the Python Revolver in Rust. To make this weapon, you will need the following materials:

• 3 Metal Pipes
• 1 Metal Spring
• 10 HQM

You will also need access to a Level 2 Workbench. You can construct a Level 2 Workbench using the following materials:

• 500 Scrap
• 20 HQM
• 500 Metal Fragments

What changes can you expect with the release of High Caliber Revolver?

The High Caliber Revolver, as per the reports from the Staging Branch, is set to be the perfect replacement for the Python Revolve, which has always been deemed overpowered in the game.

The Python Revolver has been every player's favorite choice of Auto-Turret weapon. It has the fastest semi-auto fire rate in the game. Besides its impressive damage, its TTK was extremely low.

It has taken a long time for developers to find a meaningful way to nerf the Python Revolver. Lowering its stats was not viable because it would simply render the weapon useless in the Level 2 Workbench segment.

The High Caliber Revolver in Rust features the same damage stats as the Python Revolver. However, it has a slower fire rate and will be available quite early on in the Level 2 Tech tree.

We believe the Python Revolver will soon be a Military-Grade weapon. It's likely that it will only be unlockable through Military crates and by completing Blue Card and Red Card puzzles.
