This holiday season, No Man's Sky players will have a redux for all 2024 Expeditions. Each will run for two weeks, giving everyone a second chance to enjoy the offerings. Rewards from the same include the Iron Vulture, Starborn Runner, and Boundary Herald starships.

In the runup to the holiday season this year, No Man's Sky has finally become "Very Positive" on Steam for "All Reviews." Given its disastrous launch and the love and labor shown by the developers then on, the recent change is a major achievement.


No Man's Sky Holiday 2024 Expedition schedule

The No Man's Sky Holiday 2024 Expedition schedule is as follows:

  • Omega - November 27 to December 11 (Completion Reward: Starborn Runner)
  • Adrift - December 11 to December 25 (Completion Reward: Iron Vulture)
  • Liquidators - December 25 to January 8 (Completion Reward: Grub Cocoon)
  • Aquarius - January 8 to January 22 (Completion Reward: Aquarius Flight Pack Customization)
  • The Cursed - January 22 to February 5 (Completion Reward: Boundary Herald Starship)

The Expedition mode are unique timed missions that are available periodically. Each have an overarching theme and narrative. Players have to complete several phases, containing of multiple milestones.

The completion rewards are often lucrative, with some bringing unique starships and customization. There have been a total of 16 No Man's Sky Expeditions till date, with The Cursed being the latest in October 2024.

As part of the 2024 holiday season, Hello Games did a recap of what the game brought this year. This included new planetary biomes, elaborate new space stations, the option of cross-saving and plenty more.


No Man's Sky's future

Nearly a decade after its initial launch, the game looks wonderfully different and now is the perfect to jump into No Man's Sky, for newcomers and returning players. Hello Games further confirmed that are "still working enthusiastically on future content for the game," with "much more in store for No Man's Sky."

No Man's Sky is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, macOS, iPadOS, and Nintendo Switch.
