Will Path of Exile 2 Early Access be on PS5 and Xbox?

Path of Exile 2’s Early Access is coming soon, but many PS5 and Xbox players will be curious to know if they’ll have to wait to get their hands on the title. After all, PoE 2 is a major step up from the previous iteration of the game. Major changes are being made to the overall game mechanics to improve it in nearly every way possible. PoE 2 is rebuilding virtually everything from the ground up, and players want to get their hands on it as soon as possible.

Thankfully, PS5 and Xbox users can rejoice as Path of Exile 2 will give both platforms Early Access. They won’t have to wait until 2025 to get their hands on PoE 2, which is able to take much bigger risks than some of their competitors.

Path of Exile 2 Early Access launches November 15, 2024, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. That’s right, you won’t have to wait at all, at least, no longer than everyone else does. The only exception appears to be if you are one of the lucky players to get access even before that period. This date was revealed during Gamescom 2024, and thankfully, everyone will be able to try it at the same time.

There’s a wealth of new and improved content coming in Path of Exile 2, whether you play on PS5, Xbox, or PC platforms. It aims to make the game more approachable, reiterating its many popular systems. This includes the sometimes overwhelming Skill Tree. which is one of the hurdles newcomers have the most trouble navigating.

There will be 12 new classes alongside a new Dual Specialize feature. This lets you use different sets of skills per weapon, and swap to those skills when you change weapons. This means Path of Exile 2 players will have more choices and options than ever before. Updates to a variety of systems will mean the game will be just as deep and fascinating as the original version currently is.

Another major change is to the Skill Gem System. Instead of gear having slots for gems, forcing players to build around what they own, these will be moved to active skill gems instead. If these upgrades aren’t enough, combat is also being improved, giving players a new dodge roll to take advantage of.
