What are the attack patterns of Oblivion Skeleton Commander in Thrones and Liberty
In melee range, he swings its longsword, dealing moderate damage. These attacks are easy to interrupt with crowd-control skills. At a distance, he fires projectiles that can also be interrupted or dodged. The boss occasionally uses a Projectile Fury attack, which can stun you for a few moments. Counter this move with a well-timed parry using a Defensive Skill or avoid it entirely by sidestepping or parrying, the same goes for his Charging Fury attack.
One of the most dangerous abilities is the Jump Attack, where the boss leaps into the air and slams the ground, dealing massive area damage. The only way to avoid this attack is by jumping at the right moment to evade the shockwave. Later in the fight, the commander uses the Cloud Pull ability, summoning an energy cloud that damages you upon contact and pulls you toward the boss on return.
Dodge this by sliding sideways out of his path. As Commander’s HP gets critically low, he will execute an unavoidable pull, drawing you close after a jump. Immediately retreat to avoid the follow-up attack. Lastly, watch for a purple circle indicator. This signals an incoming high-damage attack, which can be mitigated with a perfect block or precise evasion.
