The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Watkins Glen holds the record for the most number of countries represented in a NASCAR race. A total of seven countries were represented during the race.

He was followed Billy Wade and Marvin Punch in 1964 and 1965. Tim Richmond won the Go Bowling at the Glen for the first time after it was brought out of hiatus and added back to the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. One of the notable victories in the history of the race was during the 2010 season, when Formula 1 veteran Juan Pablo Montoya claimed victory in the event, as per Racing Reference. He broke a 113-race winless streak to win the race. Montoya created the record of becoming the first foreign born driver to win multiple races in the NASCAR Cup Series.
