Chase Elliott hails from Dawsonville, Georgia. William Clyde Elliott II is a second-generation NASCAR Cup Series driver. He is the son of Hall of Famer, Bill Elliott. The Elliotts are the third duo of father and son to win a championship in NASCAR. Chase Elliott is the 2020 Cup Series Champion and has won the Most Popular Driver award seven times consecutively from 2018-2024. Chase Elliott is also among the 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR according to their list released in 2023. He drives for Hendrick Motorsports in their no. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

Elliott has been racing in the Cup Series since 2016. He was the Rookie of the Year in 2016. Since his debut in NASCAR, Elliott has won 19 races and claimed 171 Top-10s in the NASCAR Cup Series, as of February 2025. Elliott reached the NASCAR Round of 8 during the 2024 Cup Series season, finishing seventh in the driver's championship. Elliott started the Daytona 500 on pole consecutively in his rookie years in 2016 and 2017. He is also a champion in the Xfinity Series. Elliott won the championship in 2014, becoming the youngest champion and the first rookie to claim a title in the series. Elliott claimed victory at the 2025 Cook Out Clash at the Bowman Gray Stadium.

According to his official website, Chase Elliott was born and raised in Dawsonville, Georgia. The “Dawsonville Gang” was a band of four drivers, Gober Sosebee, Roy Hall, Lloyd Seay, and Bernard Long. These drivers participated in races on the Daytona Beach/ road course and won from 1941-1959. Chase Elliott joined their legacy when he won in Xfinity Series in 2016, whereas his father won the 1985 Daytona 500.

According to USA Today, Chase Elliott attended King's Ridge Christian School, located in Alpharetta, Georgia. During high school, Chase participated in the K&N Pro Series East in 2011, and the Camping World Trucks series in 2013. At 15 years old, he recorded 16 top-10s in the K&N Pro Series East, claimed victory at an ARCA race, and became the youngest winner in a NASCAR national series event at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
