William Clyde 'Chase' Elliott II is a professional racing driver competing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Chase Elliott drives the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports in the Cup Series. In his nine-year career, Elliott has claimed one championship victory, as he was crowned the 2020 Cup Series champion. Elliott reached the Cup Series playoffs in every season until the 2023 season. He was only able to race in 28 events during the 2023 season due to an injury.

He is a second-generation NASCAR driver and the son of 1988 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Bill Elliott. Bill and Chase Elliott are the third father-and-son duo to win a championship in the Cup Series. Chase Elliott was inducted among the 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR. He was also the champion of the 2022 Regular Season of the NASCAR Cup Series.

Chase Elliott's wins

He has 19 career Cup Series wins, with his most recent points-paying win coming at Texas Motor Speedway in April 2024, ending a 42-race winless streak. He also won the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. He has not won any race in 2025 as of March.

Chase Elliott drives the No. 9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, a number his father, Bill Elliott, also used during his career. He started the 2025 season by winning the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Elliott won his first NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2020, securing his title with a victory at Phoenix Raceway.

Elliott has been named the Most Popular Driver from 2018 to 2024. In 2014, he became the first rookie to win a NASCAR national division championship, earning the Xfinity Series title. He has won six Xfinity Series races and has three wins in the Craftsman Truck Series.
