Alberto Aquilani: A Brief Biography

Alberto Aquilani is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Fiorentina and the Italian national team as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and at a times can operate as a playmaker. He made his debut in Serie A at the age of eighteen on 10 May 2002 against Torino with Roma winning the game 3-1. In order to gain first team experience, he was loaned to Serie B club Triestina for the 2003–04 season. Alberto Aquilani started his career at Roma and performed as a regular player in the Roma side during the 2005–06 season. He displayed his mastery in the game in the Champions League against Real Madrid. He also scored two long range goals in the first two matches of the 2007–08 season against Palermo and Siena. Moving forward, he signed with Liverpool, Juventus and Milan on loan finally returning to Liverpool for the 2012-13 season. At a very early age, he was capped for Italy at 2001 European Under-16 Football Championship. He was also victorious at the 2003 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship with Italy and even scored one goal to his credit.
