Mickey Charles Mantle also known by his nicknames "the Commerce Comet" and "the Mick" was an American professional player in the Major Leagues Baseball. He was born on 20 October 1931 and died on 13 August 1995 of liver cancer. Mantle used to play the position of center fielder in the MLB. He was with the New York Yankees from 1951 to 1968.

Mantle was drafted by the Yankees in 1948 for the Minor Leagues. He debuted his Major Leagues career with the Yankees in 1951. He is one of the best sluggers and switches in the history of baseball.
