Nathaniel Lowe’s Early Life

While attending Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia, Lowe participated in jazz and symphonic ensembles on the upright bass. In 2014, he became a Mercer Bears collegiate baseball player after enrolling at Mercer University. He transferred from St. Johns River State College to Mississippi State University for the 2015 season in order to play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs in 2016. He was later chosen as a Second Team All-American for that year by the Louisville Slugger.

The Rays picked Lowe with the 390th overall pick in the 13th round in the 2016 MLB draft. He joined and made his New York-Penn League Class A Short Season debut with the Hudson Valley Renegades.
