Rakesh Kumar: A Brief Biography

Capable of performing exceptionally in both defence and offence, he is highly reliable and is often asked to shoulder responsibility in crunch situations. He was a part of the Indian national kabaddi teams that won the Asian Games in 2006, 2010 and 2014. K For his contribution to Indian kabaddi, he was conferred the Arjuna Award in 2011. In the Pro Kabaddi League, he was first signed by Patna Pirates as the most expensive player of the league but later signed for U Mumba in 2016. His performances for the Patna franchise led them to finish at the third spot in 2014.
