Aside from a few select doorbusters, expect each retailer to equal their competitor's prices on Black Friday. What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is the day after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, which has historically been a holiday for many employees. It is traditionally a day packed with great shopping offers and significant discounts, and it marks the start of the holiday season.
On Black Friday, retailers frequently offer special bargains both online and in-store. To attract customers, several businesses open their doors before daybreak on Black Friday. To compete, some businesses have gone so far as to continue operating during the Thanksgiving holiday, whereas others begin providing offers early in November.
When does Black Friday start?
Black Friday begins on November 25th and technically ends when Cyber Monday begins. Thus, sales traditionally start as soon as the clock strikes midnight on the 25th. The best deals are usually confined to these two days (and the weekend in between); however, some deals are available until the end of the next week.
For Walmart, the sale began on November 7th with their first event leading up to the Black Friday sale. That ran until November 9th, with the second event beginning on November 14 and continuing in stores until November 16th. The third event began on November 21st and will continue with in-store bargains until November 25th, the recognized date for Black Friday this year.
