Kim Kardashian has publicly refuted a false report suggesting her eldest daughter, North West, would choose her father, Kanye West, over her. The claim was first made from a now-deleted Instagram post by the page CoolRap.TV, which alleged that North West said she would pick her dad “a thousand times” over Kim.

As reported by Complex on October 21, 2025, Kim responded in the comments, saying that North “loves us both” and criticized the attempt to “pit a child against either parent for clicks.”

"This interview never happened, and the quotes are fake,” Kardashian commented on the post, which appears to have been deleted. “North loves us both, and it's harmful and weird to pit a child against either parent for clicks."

Despite the fabricated quote, Kim Kardashian has previously acknowledged on The Kardashians in 2023 that North often idealizes her father’s simpler lifestyle, noting that her daughter admires Ye’s home setup and independence.

Although the court agreement grants equal parental rights, a source reportedly told PEOPLE that “Kim is the primary caregiver." The arrangement allows both parents to spend significant time with the children, but Kim maintains the more consistent day-to-day responsibilities.

The source also said that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have also agreed that any parenting disagreements should be discussed privately, without public confrontation.

Kim Kardashian has previously talked about how important it is to maintain a respectful co-parenting relationship and to always be supportive of the children. Speaking to Vogue in February 2022, she said,

Despite the constant media attention, Kim Kardashian reportedly continues to prioritize positivity and emotional balance in her household. On Call Her Daddy, she shared how North once told her,

Kim recalled laughing off the comment, saying, “No, I’m getting a massage upstairs,” and explaining that she always tries to speak “such positive things all the time” around her children.

While their divorce formally ended a decade-long relationship that began in 2011, both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West remain active and present in their children’s lives. Kim, however, continues to serve as the central figure in their daily routines, managing school, travel, and family activities.
