Mia wasn't happy that he didn't get back on the rodeo circuit. However, when he was dispatched to Texas, their romance suddenly came to an end.
During his time in Texas, Jimmy got to know Emily, a veterinarian technician at the ranch where he had come to work. They got along well and spent as much time as possible with each other. When Jimmy got sent home to Montana, she left with him as his fiance. Jimmy got the blessing of his boss to get off the ranch they drove to Texas together.
