Season 3 of "Love is Blind" began filming in the summer of 2021.

According to Variety, Love Is Blind season 3 started filming immediately after season 2 ended in the summer of 2021. As a result, the singletons had no idea what to expect from the previous season or how to watch the drama between the contestants, which had fans threatening to cancel their Netflix subscription if Shane and Natalie got together.

When addressing Bustle, Vanessa stated, "In Season 1, no one knew what was going on. So they were afraid to ask physical questions, but asking like, ‘Where are you from?' "What is your background?" "I felt like Season 2 got more specific into the physical, and for some reason, in Season 3, there was a couple that, when they finally met, she was like, 'You have a beard.'"

The following is the "Love is Blind" season 3 timeline:

  • June 2021: "Love Is Blind" Season 3 is filmed.

  • Late June/Early July 2021: The weddings happen.

  • Late August 2022: "Love Is Blind: After the Altar" is filmed.

  • October 19, 2022: "Love Is Blind" season 3 was released on Netflix.

  • Late October, 2022: A reunion for "Love Is Blind" season 3 is being filmed. The cast has seen episodes and has seen the responses from fans online, so it is impossible for this to be filmed in March 2022, as some websites falsely claim.

  • November 20, 2022: Raven and SK announce their split.

The following are the filming locations for "Love is Blind," season 3:

Los Angeles County, California

Season 3 of "Love Is Blind" was primarily filmed in Los Angeles County, California. The cast members' blind dates were facilitated by the use of specially made pods, which were built in the LA North Studios.

The company has five locations in Santa Clarita that can be used for a variety of tasks while filming movies and television shows. Santa Clarita's 25045 Avenue Tibbitts is the location of the first five stages of LA North Studios, with the remaining stages spread out throughout the city.

The engaged couples relocated to Malibu, a beach city close to Los Angeles, after the third season's blind dating phase was over. Malibu enjoys a stunning panorama of the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains. Naturally, the city has long been a popular tourist destination and has been featured in a number of shows when it comes to entertainment.

Dallas, Texas

A sizable portion of the filming took place in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area because the cast of "Love Is Blind" season 3 was selected from Dallas, Texas. The area consists of the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth as well as a number of their surrounding suburbs.

All of the couples returned to Dallas after their time in Malibu to meet up with their partners' friends and family. In order to capture the various meet-and-greets, several scenes were filmed inside the homes of the majority of the participants. The show also includes locations that the cast members enjoy visiting on a regular basis.

The third episode of the Netflix series concluded with numerous weddings. The lovely weddings took place in Burleson, a Fort Worth suburb that is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. The engaged couple from the series was scheduled to tie the knot at Lone Star Mansion, a wedding location at 629 John Charles Drive in Burleson, signaling the culmination of their "Love Is Blind" journey.

Why was the location changed for season 3 of Love is Blind?

Even though the location for Season 3's filming was primarily determined by logistical considerations, Love Is Blind co-host Nick Lachey believes that moving to a different city also alters the dynamics between the couples. According to series co-host Vanessa Lachey over Zoom, the change in location was "strictly because of COVID, if we're being honest." Changing the teams and city was a simple way to achieve this because of the compressed filming schedule, which required the production company, Kinetic Content, to ensure that the cast and crew could properly quarantine and be tested.

"Every season's different, and what makes it so intriguing is that every city tends to be different," Nick explains to Bustle. "Chicago was very different from Atlanta, very different from Dallas." Vanessa explains that the decision to relocate was ultimately made by production, which wanted to be close to the Los Angeles "hub" so that the husband-and-wife team could travel safely to each location to film their episodes. "Malibu was a beautiful setting," says Vanessa.

The COVID restrictions and their own hectic schedules, say Vanessa and Nick, were the only things keeping them from being as on the ground as they were in Season 1 to witness everything unfold in real time. "Luckily, we can literally text the producers, like, ‘What are you doing right now? What’s happening?’" Vanessa adds that she and Nick are as eager to find out what happens as everyone else who watches the show. "We get a direct line to the team."
