Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are the current hosts of Dancing with the Stars.

“Dancing With the Stars” is an iconic American dance competition pairing celebrities with seasoned professional dancers. These couples unveil a fresh routine, often tailored to specific themes or styles, every week. Judges' scores and audience votes determine the fate of each pair, eliminating the lowest-scoring duo until a victor emerges. Originating on June 1, 2005, the show is poised to launch its 32nd season in the fall of 2023.

Having aired consistently on ABC, “Dancing With the Stars” took a surprising turn in Season 31, relocating to Disney+. However, for the eagerly anticipated Season 32, the series will stream simultaneously on both ABC and Disney+. Tom Bergeron hosted the show from its inception until his departure in July 2020. Throughout his tenure, Bergeron shared the hosting duties with a roster of co-hosts, including Lisa Canning, Samantha Harris, Brooke Burke-Charvet, and Erin Andrews.

Julianne Hough steps in alongside Alfonso Ribeiro to co-host Season 32 following Tyra Banks' departure from the show in March 2023. Banks, previously a producer and host, bid farewell to “DWTS,” as confirmed by Variety. She took over hosting duties from former anchors Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in Season 29, initially hosting solo until Ribeiro, the Season 19 victor, joined as co-host in Season 31. Just three days after Variety's report on Banks' exit, the publication announced Hough's return to the franchise as Ribeiro's co-host.

Hough expressed her gratitude with Variety, "It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as co-host. The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of." She further emphasized, "The incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years."

Looking ahead, Hough mentioned her anticipation to reunite with judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and her brother Derek Hough. The show underwent a significant change with the retirement of head judge Len Goodman at the conclusion of Season 31 in November 2022.

In April, his manager confirmed Goodman's passing at the age of 78 due to bone cancer, as reported by Variety. The veteran judge passed away in an English hospice, marking a sad moment for the show's community.
