Doesn't Deserve to be in the Hall of Fame #1: Vincent/Virgil

Vincent or Virgil, he never seemed to catch on with fans.
Vincent or Virgil, he never seemed to catch on with fans.

When former Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase joined the NWO as their official spokesman, it was done primarily for nostalgia's sake. DiBiase's in-ring days were behind him, and so he was never intended to compete as part of the NWO faction.

But in order to further tap into the 1980s nostalgia, WCW hired the former Virgil, who used to be Ted Dibiase's bodyguard, then rival. Virgil had several questionable gimmicks in the WWE before he signed with WCW, including dressing in drag as his aunt "Virgilina."

Virgil was renamed Vincent to troll Vince McMahon and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing of consequence for the next several years. His main claim to fame was being the first one laid out by whichever babyface the NWO swarmed that week.

Virgil is one of the most controversial figures in wrestling these days because of his erratic behavior and self-aggrandizing antics.
