The seventh live show of IWRG (International Wrestling Revolutionary Group) of 2019 was held on February 10 at the Arena Naucalpan. This arena is the home of IWRG since its creation in 1996. IWRG is considered one of the most important Mexican promotions right below the two Mexican giants: AAA and CMLL.

The show consisted of six matches, in which, only one of the eight titles of the company was on the line. Cerebro Negro successfully retained the IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Championship by defeating Dragon Bane. This was the second successful title defense of Cerebro Negro, who won this title for the seventh time in June 2018 after defeating Emperor Azteca.

For a show of this magnitude, all matches were expected to live up to the hype but only a handful of them stood out. Here are the three best matches of IWRG Live at Arena Naucalpan (February 10, 2019):

#3. Capo del Norte, Capo del Sur & Sinn Bodhi vs. Black Terry, Pantera Internacional & Pasion Crystal

In the fifth match of the night, we saw Capo del Norte, Capo del Sur & Sinn Bodhi defeating Black Terry, Pantera Internacional & Pasion Crystal in a Six Man Tag Team Match that lasted 14 minutes and 44 seconds.

After a start without much action, the team led by Sinn Bodhi began to dominate the match. It was a very violent contest which was unusual for IWRG. The highlight of the match was a Missile Dropkick by Pasion Crystal on Sinn Bodhi.

Sinn Bodhi took advantage of a distraction from the referee to decree the end. He tied a chain to his right fist and attacked Crystal with a Knuckle Punch, resulting in a successful pinfall and victory for his team.

Pasion Crystal was brutally attacked by his rivals after the match that caused a big wound on his forehead. This was a declaration of war on Bodhi's part, who was looking for Capo del Norte and Capo del Sur to reclaim the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Championship.

#2. Infierno Eterno vs. Los Oficiales

The fourth match of the night was a Two Out of Three Falls Six Man Tag Team Match: Infierno Eterno (Demonio Infernal, Eterno & Lunatic Extreme) took Los Oficiales (Oficial 911, Oficial AK-47 & Oficial Fierro). Infierno Eterno got the win in a match that lasted for 14 minutes and 26 seconds.

The domain of Los Oficiales was clear from the beginning of the fight as they deployed a very violent style using chairs. Infierno Eterno regained ground first with a Springboard Dropkick by Lunatic Extreme. They followed it up with two great moments. The first was a triple Suicidal Dive and the second was a Low Blow Diving Dropkick by Eterno on Officer AK-47.

Oficial Fierro applied a submission maneuver on Lunatic Extreme that ended with the shoulders of both wrestlers on the ring. A double pinfall and the scores were a piece.

The end of the match occurred after Oficial 911 accidentally attacked one of the two referees and this distraction was taken advantage of by Eterno. He delivered a Low Blow on the edge of the ring to Official 911 followed by a Codebreaker, resulting in a second pinfall and victory for Infierno Eterno.

The IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Championship was on the line in the main event. Cerebro Negro successfully retained his title after an exciting duel that lasted for 12 minutes and 48 seconds.

Dragon Bane started the match by executing numerous aerial maneuvers and showing off his agility. Bane responded with like-for-like aerial excellence.

The first big moment of the match was a Diving Moonsault by Dragon Bane to Cerebro Negro who was at ringside. Bane continued to attack Cerebro around the fan area before the action shifted back into the ring. Bane caught Negrio in a Bridged German Suplex and was really close to getting the victory after the move.

Negro reacted with a Superkick followed by a Bridged German Suplex of his own. Bane avoided the pinfall and countered with a speedy Superkick. Negro didn’t fall after the Superkick and responded with a Lariat.

The end of the match came after Dragon dominated by reversing a Falling Powerbomb with a Canadian Destroyer. He then applied the Super Hurricanrana, but Negro reversed it with a Super Bomb, which resulted in a pinfall victory for Cerebro.
