Air Boom was an exciting high flying tag team formed in 2011, consisting of Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Both daredevils who weren’t afraid of taking risks, they were popular among the fans for their amazing maneuvers.
On Raw, they defeated Otunga and McGillicutty to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Their reign lasted for a total 146 days.
Their reign was cut short when Evan Bourne was suspended by WWE for 30 days for violating their Wellness Policy. He came back after a month and they feuded with Primo and Epico.
They lost their titles to Primo and Epico at a house show. Even though they had a rematch, they failed to win the Championship back.
The team was disbanded when Evan Bourne was suspended for a second time for violating the Wellness Policy. Kofi Kingston went on to form a team with R-Truth and regain the Championship.
