5 reasons Brock Lesnar's WWE career will never be topped

Paul Heyman is the mind behind the monster

Brock Lesnar is a beast in every sense of the wordBrock Lesnar is a genetic freak of nature, a true anomaly in every sense of the word.Standing at 6’3 and tipping the scales at 286lbs, he’s quick, he’ÂÂs crazy strong and he’ÂÂs a legitimate tough guy both in and out of the ring. He’s a 38-year-old veteran that moves like a 28-year-old rookie. He’s a four-time WWE champion in the peak of his career though he took a five-year break from the business, during which time he became the UFC champion. No one can match his ferocity and no one can even hope to slow him down.Lesnar has only gotten better with age and he has never looked better than he does right now. The man that began full of promise as ‘The Next Big Thing’ has grown into a battle-tested warrior, a gladiator of epic proportions. Lesnar is the real deal on every level.Considering his resume, the fact is no one really has a prayer of topping him. There have been guys that drew more money than Brock and there have been guys that were more entertaining in the ring than Brock. But no one can do what Brock can do and no one has done what Brock has done. The Beast Incarnate is not just a nickname, it's who Lesnar is. The scary part is, he's not even done yet.

#5 Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman is the mind behind the monster

The ability to know where to go and when as well as what to do when you get there, is possessed by the industry’s all-time greats. In the case of Brock Lesnar, this ability lies with his real-life best friend and actual advocate, Paul Heyman.

Heyman has been called the evil genius and with very good reason. The man that started a revolution with ECW is considered one of the smartest and most creatively gifted men to ever work in the business. But it’s his work with Brock that has made all the difference.

Without Heyman, Lesnar would arguably have never made the impact he did in WWE. Paul saw something in him and knew exactly how to channel that something into a very steady foundation. He crafted a future hall of fame Superstar on that foundation and fans all over the world recognize the work Heyman did in molding The Beast Incarnate.

No other Superstar can top Lesnar’s career because of the guidance and support he receives from the evil genius. Paul’s presence by Brock’s side and in his life cannot be replaced or mimicked by anyone else because there is only one Paul Heyman.

Unless Heyman himself takes a new protegee and maneuvers that man through an entire career, leading him to the promised land of WWE main event status and worldwide recognition, Lesnar’s legacy is likely very safe indeed.

#4 No one\'s made more of an immediate impact

Brock’s potential was realized very early in his career

Brock Lesnar debuted on WWE programming in March of 2002. In the next five months, he annihilated every man he faced including Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.

By August, he had beaten The Rock to become the Undisputed WWE champion. He not only took the company by storm, he made an impact that has not been matched since.

Only The Undertaker could possibly compare to Lesnar’s rise and his first WWE Championship came after a year, not five months. No one has been able to even come close to the kind of major push The Beast had and there is every possibility no one ever will.

The faith that WWE showed in him and his ability to draw was unheard of at the time, but Lesnar’s potential could not be denied.

His physique, his work in the ring, the intensity he displayed in every situation he was placed in, all of these things combined to make a very unique and very bankable Superstar. When fans saw him, they saw an actual competitor, not a character. They saw the future of WWE.

This was not a guy that was given too much too soon, this was a guy that got it. He understood the business and learned how to work inside of it, breaking the mold of what a big young kid with raw power had been in the past. Lesnar may have been those things, but he also had maturity on top of it.

WWE saw that and capitalized on it to the extent it will very likely never happen again.

#3 Ultimate monster booking

Lesnar’s latest run has been one of total dominance

How many WWE Superstars have had such complete dominance over an entire roster that literally no one except battle tested veterans has a chance of beating them?

This is the spot that Brock Lesnar currently inhabits and nothing appears to be changing anytime soon.

Brock is a big money draw, a prize fighter that is booked against proven main event talents every time he’s featured on the card. Since Lesnar’s return to WWE in 2012, only John Cena, Triple H and The Undertaker have beat him and that basically sums up the extent of top veterans even remotely capable of getting the job done.

Considering Lesnar came back and conquered all three; there are practically no veterans left with the exception of The Rock, who Brock defeated to get on top 13 years ago.

Lesnar is The Incredible Hulk of WWE because it would take an army to bring him down and there is virtually no one that can do it alone. He keeps getting back up, he keeps coming and he is portrayed as an unstoppable monster of a man.

As long as he’s healthy and willing to do business, there is no reason to believe he will ever be showcased as anything less.

WWE has shown a tremendous commitment to Brock because there is just no other way to present him. Nothing else would even be believable or compelling. To imagine another man being given this treatment to this degree after Lesnar seems impossible indeed.

#2 The Undertaker goes down in the end

In the end, Undertaker could not overcome Brock Lesnar

The Undertaker has spent 25 years on top in WWE and he is arguably the company’s biggest Superstar of all time.

He is a seven-time world champion, he’s main evented all over the world and he’s bested every challenger that’s ever come his way. But he could not stop Brock Lesnar and that fact will forever be recorded in WWE history.

This is a major stat, one that no other WWE Superstar can lay claim to. The Undertaker is perhaps WWE’s greatest attraction ever and at the end of the day, he could not overcome The Beast Incarnate. Lesnar took every ounce of offense Taker had in three matches over 18 months and he absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment every time.

But the only match Taker won was the second and it took a low blow for him to do so.

The truth is The Deadman is nearing the end and that likely means the time is coming to wrap things up. Giving Lesnar the nod at Hell in a Cell allows Taker to close the book on this rivalry and opens the door to a renewed rivalry with Bray Wyatt.

But it also gives Brock a milestone on his WWE legacy that no man has ever and probably will never, match. The Beast Incarnate has eternal bragging rights over a gimmick and character that is everlasting in WWE.

He accomplished what was believed to be unthinkable and he did so while gaining the respect of fans and his peers alike.

#1 He ended The Undertaker\'s streak

The Undertaker’s streak was the most celebrated in wrestling history

This is the big one, the one that separates Brock Lesnar from every Superstar in WWE history. From Hulk Hogan to Stone Cold to Triple H to John Cena, no other man can ever claim this accomplishment other than Brock Lesnar.

It’s because of this that Brock’s WWE career can ultimately never be topped or matched. From a storyline perspective, he did what no competitor could do; he beat The Undertaker to end the undefeated streak.

From a business perspective, WWE had faith and trust in Brock that he could take the responsibility of ending Taker’s beloved streak and in the end, tell a compelling story that would last forever.

For a guy that has often been criticized for caring only about the payday and not the business itself, Brock showed true professionalism in his matches with Taker. He played his role to the fullest and he accepted the task of taking down The Phenom’s streak when there’s a good chance no one else likely would.

Paul Heyman may do the talking on the mic, but Lesnar does his talking in the ring and no win was louder or resonated more with fans than the one he had over Taker at WrestleMania 30.

With that one feat, Brock takes his place among WWE’s elite in the eyes of fans and his peers alike. It’s a moment that will always be remembered and so will the man responsible for it.
