#1 Shane Warne and Ian Healy\'s amazing plot to dismiss Basit Ali

Before the last ball of the 3rdday of the 3rd Test between Pakistan and Australia at Sydney in 1995-96 was bowled, legendary Australian spinner Shane Warneand keeper Ian Healywereengaged in aconversation. Here is what they spoke,and what followed that was nothing short of remarkable.

#2 Sachin Tendulkar outfoxes Moin Khan

In a Test match between India and Pakistan at Multan in 2004, Sachin Tendulkar was given the ball to bowl the last over of the third day. Wicket-keeper Moin Khan and Abdul Razzaq were looking good for a long haul with a 43-run partnership, and, had they escaped the day, it could very well have been a draw.

Tendulkar, however, made sure that Virender Sehwag’s mammoth first innings efforts of 309 didn’t go in vain by getting rid of Moin with a googly that went onto disturb the woodwork. India subsequently got the remaining 4 wickets within 43 runs to enforce a follow-on and ended up winning the match an innings and 52 runs.

#3 Alvin Kallicharran\'s controversial run out against England

This incident happened in a Test match between England and West Indies in the 1973-74 Test series, in Port of Spain. After Derek Underwood bowled the last over of the day, assuming that the day had come to an end, the two Carribean batsmen started walking towards the pavilion. In fact, the wicket-keeper had taken off the bails at his end.

Alvin Kallicharran, who was at the runner’s end, though, had not grounded the bat before leaving. On seeing this, Tony Greig used the opportunity, executed a direct hit and started appealing. The umpire, too, gave him out.

After a massive protest from the crowd, the umpire, however, overturned his decision.

#4 Dennis Lillee gets the better of Vivian Richards

During a Test match at Melbourne between Australia and West Indies in 1981-82, Aussie speedster Dennis Lillee, after having bowled 3 bouncers at Vivian Richards, got him bowled with a full delivery on the last ball of the match. Lillee, then, ran away towards boundary celebrating his wicket as the whole crowd was on their feet.

#5 Steve Waugh\'s century at Sydney

Former Australian captain Steve Waugh was going through a bad patch, and there were doubts being raised about his place in the team. It was the Sydney Test of the 2002-03 Ashes .

This century was so special, as, with the boundary off the last ball, Waugh levelled Sir Donald Bradman’s record for 29 Test centuries and reached the 10,000-run mark in Test cricket, as well, thereby putting to rest the question marks over his spot.
