Top 10 Contenders that might end Daniel Bryan's title reign

After battling with the machine for almost a year, Daniel Bryan finally got his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight at WrestleMania beating Randy Orton and Batista.Riding into WrestleMania, Bryan was the top star in business who no one couldve dethroned. Though the title reign has taken out some sting off the Yes movement, he is still a top baby face champion who has a big red target painted on his back. With only one major title to go for in the entire WWE, all the big names will be looking to play predator to Bryans reign. And even though it might be a bit early to draw conclusions, here is a look at the ten most possible candidates that could end Bryans dream run. v

#10 The Rock

A long shot maybe, but Rock could return to put over Daniel Bryan more. The last time he did something like this we saw it end up in Cena getting the better out of Rock while CM Punk also got some perks here and there.

So this time, WWE could put Bryan in the position of Punk and give Rock a showdown with Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Rock could return to take the title away from Bryan and then setup a match with Lesnar. It may sound a bit unfair, but since Lesnar is riding high on momentum after beating Taker, a win over Rock and a title run wouldn’t be a surprise.

Bryan could later feud with Lesnar after Lesnar’s title win giving us some dream matches like Bryan- Lensar, Bryan- Rock and Rock- Lesnar down the lane.

#9 Kane

It might sound a bit awkward, but Kane winning the title is going to bring back the yes movement back to life. Extreme Rules or Payback could be the right place for this to happen and Stephanie could help Kane achieve the same.

Stephanie- Bryan feud will be taken one step forward with Kane winning the title and Brie could be added in as well in order to make the numbers even.

Kane will have one final title run before hanging up his boots as well and the fans will be eager to see Bryan get the title back from Kane which will bring back the bandwagon.

#8 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt is not someone who cares about championships. He is someone among the group of people who just want to see the world burn.

But what makes this a good idea is because Bray will be not having a big feud after John Cena if WWE decides to keep him heel. He might’ve had one with Daniel Bryan recently but it was an underdog Bryan who had nothing to lose.

Now Bryan has Brie Bella and the title as his possession which can add more layers to the battle between Bray and Bryan. Bray holding the title itself is going to be a frightening sight for many and his title reign will simply project him to the top.

#7 Roman Reigns

To be frank, all the members of Shield are worthy of a title run in the future but the one who is well placed to get it done in the near future will be Roman Reigns.

WWE is drunk on Reigns at the moment and he is eventually going to get his hands on the title. That being against Daniel Bryan might not be an ideal situation, but if WWE puts something like Reigns career on the line along with Bryan’s title as part of the Authority feud it might turn out to be a hit.

Reigns being forced into brining the title to Authority side could end up as a big storyline after Summer Slam. He could then turn on the Authority and start his title reign on his own as well.

#6 Triple H

Hunter might not be that active in the ring, but he clearly has a lot left to give in him as a wrestler. And one of the things will be another title reign.

Though it was a high profile feud with Daniel Bryan, the two on had one match which eachother which indeed was a bit screwed up. The match came out looking good, but WWE tried to put Triple H in a technical match rather than having him go out being the smash mouth brawler he is.

If there is another match between Hunter and Bryan with the technical botch moved apart, it sure is going to be better than their previous encounter at WrestleMania and Hunter could walk out with the title giving one last title reign.

#5 Randy Orton

Orton was not pinned at WrestleMania and he is still to get his rematch for the title. Along with that, Bryan and Orton have some great chemistry when they step into the squared circle.

All this could go down well with the fans even if they will be a bit unhappy with Orton taking the title away from Bryan. Orton has been booked in an ill manner in his last title reign as the fans only got to see a cowardly side of him.

Unleashing the viper inside Orton would make matters more interesting as it would be an entirely different Orton. He would look like a worthy heel champion like that and Bryan would have a handful if he wants to get the title back.

#4 Batista

A like it or not Scenario here as Batista is not a champion we are looking forward too. However, Batista having a feud with Bryan and eventually winning the title would make a lot of sense.

WWE actually wanted Batista to have a singles run which explains the reason why they made him win the Royal Rumble. It apparently didn’t work well which forced them to take up the Evolution road. However, there is still money in the Batista- Bryan feud.

There are rumors that Batista will be taking time off after Extreme Rules which will take him out of the Evolution angle. So when he returns a one-on-one feud with Daniel Bryan for the title will be something that could do well for bother the wrestlers.

#3 Cesaro

It’s not a secret that Paul Heyman guys are bound to be world champions at one stage or the other. In fact, JBL has been putting the fact up every time Heyman appears on the show with Cesaro.

With such hype given to the new Paul Heyman guy, it will be a matter of time before he becomes the new world champion. Cesaro and Bryan also are known more for their in ring abilities which makes their match a dream one.

Heyman’s mic skills makes thing even better. Bryan could be a bigger babyface with Heyman on other side while Cesaro could benefit as well being the heel before initiating his much anticipated face run.

#2 Brock Lesnar

Lesnar is currently sitting on top of the paradigm even though he is not having regular appearance in the WWE. Being the one in the 21-1 is enough for the writers to push Lesnar into any feud.

Actually, before Lesnar was planned to take on the streak, what he wanted was the WWE title. at that time it was being contested between Randy Orton and John Cena. Lesnar’s urge was later ended with just a mere mention that the Authority didn’t give him a title shot.

Now that he has something to brag about, Lesnar could walk into a title match. The match between Bryan and Lesnar is sure to be David vs. Goliath match which Lesnar could win to build up more momentum.

#1 John Cena

Like it or not, Cena is the champ. None can argue about the fact that putting the title on Cena is more marketable to WWE than putting the title on anyone else.

Owing to the bad reaction that he’s been getting, WWE wisely pushed Cena down into the mid card for some time but he is soon going to rise back into the championship scene. Bryan and Cena is yet to have a high profile feud in the promotion.

They have only faced once on pay-per-view which also makes it ideal for Cena to have a grudge match with Bryan for the title. Another Cena run may not sit well with the fans, but Cena is a clearly someone who could end Bryan’s reign.
