Will Marco Reus sign for Real Madrid?

January transfer window’s second week is almost about to end and we have already seen some remarkable transfers being completed – Wilfried Bony to Manchester City, Xherdan Shaqiri to Inter Milan, Yaya Sanogo to Crystal Palace, Fernando Torres to AC Milan – the list goes on. With another two weeks left, football fans will surely be treated to many more earth-shattering transfers. The rumours, that are doing the rounds, have already linked top clubs with reputed players all over Europe and some of them have turned into into reality. Let's take a look at the recent rumours that surrounding top clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton.

#1 Manchester United and Real Madrid

Will Marco Reus sign for Real Madrid?

Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a move on Seamus Coleman and Nathaniel Clyne, reports the Daily Mail. Louis Van Gaal will be holding a meeting with other officials to decide whether the club should spend big on defenders in the next two weeks of the transfer window.

La Liga giants Real Madrid are willing to offer Marco Reus a five-year contract which comprises a fee of £103,000 per week.The club will pay Borussia Dortmund Reus’ £20m release clause at the end of the season and are confident that Reus will agree to the deal and sign onto their side in July. On the other hand, Real Madrid will let go of Sami Khedira on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj might head out of Old Trafford for a while on a loan deal. The Belgian has been the target of Portuguese giants Porto, Juventus and PSG.

#2 Chelsea and Arsenal

Arsenal hopes to sign Marcelo Brozovic for £6m

Jose Mourinho recently said that he has no further plans of adding to his existing squad in the current transfer window but it seems that Chelsea are planning to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and forward Jese Rodriguez for a sum of £35m.

According to Daily Mail, Arsenal are leading the race for the signature of Marcelo Brozovic. The Dinamo Zagreb midfielder has been dubbed as “the new Xavi” and the Gunners are preparing a £6m bid to acquire the player. Arsenal will also make an attemt to acquire Manchester City target Raphael Guerreiro as they are desperately in need of defenders.

#3 Liverpool and West Ham

Alex Song might sign a permanent deal at Upton Park

Liverpool are set to enter into a race with Chelsea for Mauro Icardi. Both the clubs have been told by Inter Milan that the player will be allowed to make a switch for £32m. Icardi has scored 19 goals in 40 games and is reportedly wanted by Brendan Rodgers to lead the front.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce reveals that the club might sign Alex Song on a permanent deal. Song was transferred to West Ham on a loan deal from Barcelona at the start of the season and is thought to be doing well at Upton Park.

#4 Bayern Munich and Barcelona

Thomas Muller will not train at Old Trafford

Bayern Munich reject Manchester United’s bid of £45m for Thomas Muller. The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League and is being targeted by Liverpool, and Arsenal as well. However, given that the German club have flatly declined United’s offer, Muller looks set to stay.

Dani Alves reportedly on the radar of Manchester United. The Brazilian International will become a free agent this summer and Barcelona’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu revealed that the player’s future in the club is uncertain. Louis Van Gaal will look forward to sign Alves as the United boss is keen on strengthening his squad’s defence line.

Suarez will go to Inter Milan ?

Arsenal to miss out on Mario Suarez as Inter Milan enters into discussion with Atlletico Madrid over the defensive midfielder. After signing Xherdan Shaqiri, manager Roberto Mancini is keen on adding extra firepower to his squad. The Serie A giants have also bagged Lukas Podolski from the Gunners.

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes is keen on signing Danny Ings ahead of Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City. Ings is being targeted by a number of English clubs as the player will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Aston Villa boss reveals that Manchester City midfielder Scott Sinclair might be out of budget for the club. The Premier League champions have reportedly demanded a fee of £3m for Sinclair and Aston Villa have no intention to pay that much. The deal has been hanging in mid air as neither of the sides are being able to reach an aggreeable contract term.

Everton are keen on signing Atletico Madrid winger Cristian Rodriguez but they will face a lot of competition from other Premier League clubs. Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio reported that the Uruguayan is looking for a new oppurtunity but has rejected an offer from an Italian club.
