5 Brock Lesnar beatdowns in 2015

Brock Lesnar is a master of the ‘Beatdown’Few things in present-day WWE capture your imagination the way a Brock Lesnar beatdown does. While the business is as exposed as it can be without it becoming a complete joke(some argue it already is), the sense of disbelief is the highest when Brock Lesnar is running roughshod on the WWE roster.Probably the true definition of a ‘Man Beast’, Lesnar’s current gimmick is entertaining as hell given that he is a physical specimen rarely seen in today’s wrestling landscape coupled with the fact that he is super legit when it comes to his credibility of being an a$$-kicker!While he has been booked strong since he broke the Undertaker’s streak in 2014, it is a Brock Lesnar ‘squash’ that gets the fans in attendance and the ones watching at home, the most riled up.Having said that, below in no particular order is a list of beatdowns that Lesnar dished out to hapless opponents of his in 2015.

#1 John Cena prior to Royal Rumble 2015

John Cena maybe the face of the WWE franchise, but if there was ever a face for the ‘Brock Lesnar beatdown’, that dubious honour too would have to go to the leader of the Cenation.

Following his beatdown of Cena at Extreme Rules 2012, Cena was beaten down again in a lopsided manner at Summerslam 2014 for the WWE World title. Then at the following Night of Champions PPV, Cena fared just a tad better.

Post that match, Lesnar disappeared from the WWE for a few months until he showed up around the time for a rematch against Cena at last year’s Royal Rumble. Cena was involved in a steel cage match against Seth Rollins, when Brock interrupted and reintroduced ‘Suplex City’ to John Cena.

#2 Bo Dallas

When Undertaker got Lesnar to pass out to his submission move at Summerslam last year, following a hard-fought match, it was understandable that Paul Heyman’s client would be VERY upset.

How do you satiate a very upset Beast? That’s right...feed a him a sacrificial lamb!

The next night on RAW, when an irate Lesnar and Heyman sought out the Undertaker, it was a ever-so-positive Bo Dallas who showed up. While there were to be no prizes to guess what fate was to befall the hapless former NXT champion, it was fun to watch.

Bo, on his part, sold Lesnar’s suplexes and the F-5 better than most and it made it a memorable beatdown.

#3 Seth Rollins at Battleground

Seth Rollins ‘stole’ the title away from Brock Lesnar at the last Wrestlemania and it was obvious that ‘Payback’ was to come.

It did and it was in the form of an unstoppable Beast with vengeance on his mind. The Lesnar – Rollins feud wasn’t a long one, but it did produce some memorable moments.

On an episode of RAW, Lesnar destroyed a brand new Cadillac, with an axe of all things, and made his intentions clear when he disposed off the J & J security team with ease.

However, nothing prepared us for the kind of lopsided beating that Lesnar put on Rollins, when the both of them finally went head-to-head at the Battleground pay-per-view. Sure, Rollins did get a few shots in, but as far as title matches go, this one was a one-sided pounding, second only to the one Cena got a year back.

#4 New Day in Japan

In preparation for Seth Rollins at Battleground, WWE matched up Brock Lesnar against longtime WWE star Kofi Kingston. The expectation was for the smaller, quicker Kingston to stay away from the powerful Lesnar and make a match out of it.

But, this was WWE’s first event in Japan after a while and with the kind of draw that Lesnar is on a global level, he had to look like a ‘Beast’.

What followed was a mauling of Kingston by Lesnar, with Suplex after Suplex (one even saw Kingston land squarely on his neck) and finished off with a emphatic F-5. Kingston’s New Day mates tried to rush in aide, but were dispatched off with ease.

The normally quiet and respectful Japanese crowd couldn’t control their excitement as they gasped and sighed in awe as the Beast took over the East

#5 Big Show at MSG

Let’s be honest here...Nobody throws around the Big Show like Brock Lesnar does. Nobody!

At 450 lbs, Show is a lot lighter than he was over a decade back and even then, Lesnar was throwing around ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’ with relative ease.

A sight that never gets old, Lesnar was matched up against The Big Show in WWE’s only visit to the Madison Square Garden this past year and what was old was new again!

Lesnar, after being chokeslammed thrice by the giant, came back and german suplexed him multiple times and F-5ed him to send the audience home happy. It is to the credit of the veteran Big Show that even at this stage of his career, he is willing to be humbled the way he does every time he is matched up against Lesnar.

Lesnar continued his form the next night on RAW when he delivered a belly-to-belly on Show and F-5ed him again.
