5 Reasons why Dean Ambrose should be the face of the company

Superstars who are not advertised for an event making a surprise appearance out of nowhere has always managed to make the fans go wild. The crowd at the Bridgestone Arena was no different when Dean Ambrose made his much awaited return at Night of Champions. The headlines after the pay-per-view would say that Ambrose returned to teach Rollins a lesson or two about revenge, but people who know to read between the lines would know that it Ambrose just stamped his place as the top face in WWEAnd here are five reasons why the company should not hesitate to put him over by giving him the best booking possible.

#5 Aura of ECW

Ever wondered why the fans still love ECW? It’s because ECW gave them a product that no other promotion gave.

It was edgy and there was an aura of unpredictability all around the creative masterpiece of Paul Heyman that it was impossible to keep away from the promotion once you knew what was happening down there.

WWE tried to revive the product under them but failed miserably because they couldn’t replicate the Aura that Heyman managed to build in the small arena. Lack of superstars good enough to be ‘Extreme’ was another big drawback as only CM Punk seemed suited for the original ECW.

Well, now that CM Punk is gone, one superstar that the WWE could rely on is Ambrose. He represents everything that ECW stood for and it makes him easier to connect with the fans who still love an edgy unpredictable superstar.

#4 The power of his opponents

From the situation with Bryan it was clear that the Authority played a big role in his ascension. And it is the same scenario with Ambrose.

Having a strong opposition in power like the Authority while Rollins covers up the in ring action is a deadly combination for success even if you are a bad face performer. It’s the rebel attitude of Ambrose that caught like wild fire with the fans and there wouldn’t have been a rebel without the system.

Ambrose was repeatedly screwed over by Hunter and his pack and this included the final nail in the coffin of getting curb stomped into the cinder blocks.

After all these falls, Ambrose stood up and asked for another fight which is the attitude that fans haven’t seen in a long time.

#3 Lack of alternatives

A few months back, Daniel Bryan was sitting pretty in the throne thanks to his feud of epic proportions with the Authority.

Bryan’s injury dragged him from the top and even though WWE tried to replace him with Cena, but the love that the WWE Universe had for him didn’t make that happen.

Ambrose was the natural replacement for Bryan but the company chose to push Reigns instead. Reigns was getting all the good booking while Ambrose lose out almost all the matches that he had with his opponents solely thanks to some interference ending.

Now that Reigns has been sidelined with an injury, the only credible babyface that WWE has in the main event is Dean Ambrose.

#2 A new Steve Austin

There aren’t many superstars who were worth comparing with Steve Austin. However, Ambrose doesn’t belong to that category.

He has the weird charisma that Austin was known for and even though Ambrose doesn’t bash beer cans and talk bad words, confined within the PG restrictions, Ambrose gives promos that are incredibly hard to outclass by the current WWE Superstars.

Just like Austin, Ambrose is also growing up as a rebel who flourishes as his opponent gets stronger. He fears no one just like Austin and is up for a fight even if all the odds are stacked against him.

WWE’s long search to find another Austin should end at Ambrose and they should open their eyes at the earliest rather than letting him be another creative mishap.

#1 The fans love him

The reaction that Dean Ambrose gets every time he walks through those curtains is enough to show how well received he is in the WWE Universe.

Every emotion that Ambrose feels is simply projected to the fans so that they would also feel the same. Energizing ambushes and surprise jumps also made Ambrose very popular with the fans as they didn’t know from where he would jump out next.

His willingness to take risks inside the ring is yet another factor which attracted the fans towards him as most of his antics reminded him of a Mick Foley who was clipped in the PG Era.

WWE Universe was always fond of pushing Anti- Heroes to the top and Ambrose, with the right guidance would end up just like that.
