After getting a holiday at the Royal Rumble, the divas championship will be once again up for grabs when the company will produce the first ever Fast Lane pay-per-view. Nikki Bella will be defending her title against Paige at the show and it promises to be an exciting affair.The Brit has been feuding with the Bellas over the past few weeks and though Natalya was initially involved in the mix, she was later pulled away to put the focus on Paige.The fresh face run by Paige just after some of her heel brilliance is the major attraction of the feud and it will be interesting to see how WWE builds up this feud. The next obvious question will be about the climax of the match, so here is a look at the possible endings.
#3 The crazy one returns
Paige is built up as the no.1 contender for Nikki Bella’s championship only because of AJ Lee’s absence. If AJ was still fit to be in the roster, she would have easily been in Paige’s spot at Fast Lane.
The injury has kept AJ out of action for quite some time now and her return will most probably be a big angle for the WWE. With the WrestleMania period coming in fast, the writers should bring back AJ at the earliest.
They should let AJ interfere in the match, ending it in a no contest. Then the company could build up a triple threat between Nikki, AJ and Paige for the championship since the latter two deserve to be in the WrestleMania spotlight while the former is the Champion.
#2 Era of the Brit
Paige took WWE by storm on the night after WrestleMania when she debuted against AJ Lee. Within just five minutes of her main roster debut, Paige became the Divas Champion and went on to justify her win with a string of great performances.
She later dropped the championship to AJ only to win it back in a matter of weeks. The introduction of Bellas into the championship scene pushed Paige back into the crowd but everyone knows how brilliant Paige is when it comes to wrestling.
In the one year she stayed in the main roster, Paige held the Divas Championship twice and if WWE allows, she could get a clean one at Fast Lane and make the number of reigns to three.
#1 Friction between the Bellas
The sibling feud has been a mainstay in WWE for a long time. From the Harts to the McMahons, almost all those feuds managed to create a buzz around the crowd. The Bellas feud also had the potential to be something similar but thanks to some awful booking and lack of talent, it was screwed up.
However, the one match that these two had exceeded expectations. Both girls were determined to prove their critics wrong and if the company is looking for a good divas angle heading into WrestleMania, they should give the Bellas another chance.
The first step towards that match could be taken at Fast Lane. Brie should cost Nikki her match against Paige and the two sisters should lock horns at Mania once again while Paige could defend the title against a returning AJ Lee, Natalya or Charlotte.
