WWE Monday Night Raw: May 26, 2014 - Superstar Ratings

Many surprises were in store for the WWE Universe on the last major stop before Payback but unfortunately those seemed to be well out of the spot in making the fans go wild. The three major storylines in the company witnessed some good progress towards the pay-per-view while the mid card seemed out of life. Bo Dallas and Adam Rose made their Raw debuts as well in an episode which was considered below par.It wasnt one of those best go-home shows from the WWE and maybe the long tiring European is to blame. After all, it was just another day in the part for the writers and here is a look at how the roster turned out with the Superstar ratings.

#23 3MB- 3

There was a time when Drew McIntyre was considered as one of the hottest prospects for the future in WWE. And now he has turned into a joke show who come out to give god-awful matches with his band. The loss against El Torito is nothing to be ashamed of but the way it came was clearly embarrassing.

#22 Los Matadores 3

The good news is that WWE recognized the quality that El Torito brings to the ring. The bad news is that they still aren’t ready to end the ridiculous fight between 3MB and Los Matadores. It was a win nevertheless for the bull and he would be happy for getting such chances rather than being wasted on the ringside.

#21 Zack Ryder- 3

Ryder was back on Raw to do what he does best and he also had the American flag to his aid this time. Teasing a potential promo from Ryder was a nice touch by the WWE as for a moment; the fans thought that they were finally going to see some miracle happen. However it ended on a sad note as usual meaning that Ryder is pretty much still in the pit.

#20 Damien Sandow- 3

Despite having all the talents, Sandow still hasn’t figured out the way to impress the creative team. The only thing that he gets at the moment is those comic acts that no one cares to see. his career might be pretty much over at this time unless he comes out with a great gimmick like Bray did.

#19 Sin Cara- 4.5

After the original SinCara left WWE, the reason why they had Hunico take the mask was purely because of the merchandise potential that the character had. Between the ropes, he has nothing else than losing to do and this week went just like that as he fell for Bo Dallas.

#18 Summer Rae-4

Summer Rae’s returning match might’ve ended on a losing note but the angle against Fandango and Layla was pushed forward. The loss will only pave for some relevant feud between the two so Summer can chill about the fact that she lost to a diva who still hasn’t learned how to wrestle properly.

#17 Alexandre Rusev -4

Rusev squashing opponents is really turning into a worst outing for fans at the moment as the only prospect they see from him is Lana. WWE once again teased the prospect of a battle between Big E and Rusev but they really need to fast forward that feud if they want to keep Rusev fresh.

#16 Eva Marie- 4

WWE actually did a great job in not giving Eva a clean win over Summer as the latter was far superior in all aspects. Eva still has a long way to go in order to establish herself as a wrestler and has a lot to learn in between the ropes but such quality time in the ring could speed up the impending process.

#15 Bo Dallas- 5

Dallas was great on microphone but was not up to the benchmark that his brother has placed for everyone in the company. He continued his winning run at the expense of Sin Cara again. Fans also seem to be digging in on his character which is a great sign for the former NXT champion.

#14 Emma- 5

Though the company was not willing to give Emma the deserving gimmick, it was nice to see her get some credible in ring action. She has some epic encounters with Paige back in NXT and the main roster fans would like to have some action like that instead of seeing Emma using a cobra.

#13 Alberto Del Rio- 6

The Mexican had another random match this week against Sheamus. Del Rio managed to put on a good show but it was nowhere near his best. WWE will have to invest him in some kind of angle very soon as Del Rio is looking more and more rusty as weeks pass by.

#12 Alicia Fox- 6

At this point, the win-loss record it not affecting the momentum of Alicia as her character has outgrown beyond that. The loose cannon gimmick is clearly becoming a hit with the fans and at Payback she will have a bigger spotlight when she faces Paige for the divas title.

#11 Adam Rose- 6

Many expected Adam Rose to make his in ring debut at Payback but WWE decided to make it happen on Raw. It wasn’t however the way WWE planned since it didn’t sell Rose as a whole. Damien Sandow’s comic act didn’t do anything good as well for the party animal.

#10 Rob Van Dam 6

Rob Van Dam’s chemistry with Cesaro seems to be on the rise as each week passes. It was a solid match between the two and the presence of Bad News Barrett in the mix added a narrative progression. The loss however isn’t good for Van Dam who will be challenging for the title at Payback.

#9 Cesaro 6.5

The impressive run of Cesaro continued this week as he got one over Rob Van Dam. Getting nailed by Sheamus in the end wasn’t something to be proud of but it doesn’t take anything away from Cesaro who is on a great run. It’s an unpredictable situation in hand at the moment as the title could go either way.

#8 Rhodes Brothers- 6.5

There were no signs of the teased split between Cody Rhodes and Goldust, but the two managed to put up a great match against Randy Orton and Batista. Though they ended up on the losing side, the duo showed why they were tag team champions for a long time and still deserves a good run.

#7 Sheamus- 7

The Celtic warrior had another good outing this week after he won the match against Alberto Del Rio. The exchanges with Cesaro was interesting as well but the head injury that was played up after the match didn’t make any sense as Sheamus was building some good momentum.

#6 Daniel Bryan- 7

Bryan coming out after the neck injury was a great sign for the fans but he revealed that the neck injury was worse than he thought. Bryan is stuck in a great dilemma at the moment which could end up being a great non-wrestling segment at Payback.

#5 John Cena- 7

Cena ran in for the save of Jerry Lawler from the Wyatt Family’s hands which made him look courageous unlike the buildup to WrestleMania. the promo he cut after that was spot on as well as it endorsed the upcoming match in a good way unlike the last few times he took up the mic.

#4 Shield- 7

The hounds of justice got a taste of Hunter’s sledgehammer for the first time this week and this resulted in their fall. The fact that the sledgehammer is going to be completely legal at Payback made it more interesting and shield will now have a point to make after Evolution came on top.

#3 Wyatt Family 7.5

Bray delivered another great promo this week and having Jerry Lawler in the mix made it seems fresh since they weren’t using the regular to and fro action. He goes to Payback on a positive note now and the pay-per-view could end up being a career maker for him if he manages to lay down Cena.

#2 Stephanie McMahon- 7.5

Stephanie played a perfect heel once again and did a good job even without saying many words. She has now pushed Bryan into an awkward situation which utilizes Bryan without getting him to wrestle with the neck. Brie is also well placed after this segment as she will be looking to avoid get fired.

#1 Evolution- 8

Hunter and his wolf pack were on top of their game this week. First Orton and Batista had a great match with the Rhodes Brothers which showcased the ruthlessness they had in them. Then it was the turn of Hunter to introduce his beloved weapon while brawling with the Shield. Evolution now goes into Sunday with the upper hand which they will have to make maximum use of.
