WWE RAW 16th November 2015- 5 Promising developments

Neville performs a reverse hurricanrana on Owens

SWING!This Raw was quite memorable for the way it unravelled throughout the night. The quarter finals of the tournament began and it provided Raw with 4 really good matches. Ofcourse, the expected people won and it slowly seems to be moving towards a final between Ambrose and Reigns. and no better way to have that match that at Survivor Series. And surely, Ambrose might lose and kick off a feud with owens for the IC title. Atleast, thats what everybodys thinking but theres also a heel turn to ponder over. Then they let two women close out the show. Here are the 5 promising developments from thisweek-

#1 \"No wasted motion\"

Neville performs a reverse hurricanrana on Owens

JBL put it succinctly. The match between Neville and Kevin Owens during the WWE World Heavyweight title tournament was breathless. Both of them were constantly trying to outdo each other and the match was majorly going back and forth, back and forth. Nevilles moves had the audience on its feet. Be it his German Suplex to Owens which the camera caught quite well, be it his moonsault to Owens outside the ring or be it his numerous Red Arrow attempts. Owens, being the brickhouse he is, was as quick as his opponent only stopping all of that momentum with a thumping Pop Up Powerbomb.

A brilliant match that lit up the arena and Owens moves on to face another indy favorite.

#2 \"The Nightmare scenario for The Authority\"

Ambrose meets Owens at Survivor Series

And if we thought Owens Vs Neville was the best match of the night, out came Ziggler and Ambrose to prove otherwise. Two of the best babyfaces in the company came out to the delight of the audience.

They started off slow and methodical, something that we woudn’t normally expect from these two. The match slowly began picking pace with Ziggler getting into his elements. But we all knew throughout that Ambrose had a much better chance moving ahead in the tournament. Both of these wrestlers can wrestle with anybody with a different style and still have a great match. With Ambrose there is a lot more unpredictability that keeps the viewer interested. Be it his matches or promos. Given the history he has with Rollins and The Authority, it’ll be quite interesting to see what happens to him.

But for now, he’ll face Owens at Survivor series and it surely seems like a PPV worthy match. That might kick off a feud between these two for the Intercontinental title.

#3 Putting them over

Reigns moves on in the tournament.

This tournament just got better with time. Roman Reigns and Cesaro had one heck of a match. Cesaro actually never has a bad match and Roman Reigns has been on the same path since this year began. Nobody’s improved as consistently as Reigns has.

We all knew going into this match, Reigns would win. But we all expected a great match to happen before that outcome and it did. Cesaro lit up the match with all of his moves and made Reigns look really strong in the process. That was the desired result anyway.

#4 The past and the present

Wyatt is not giving up on being the new face of fear.

While its cool to see The Brothers of destruction return, itis undeniable that theyre quite old. Theyre also not that great when it comesto promo work. But the audience was apt with attention. When Wyatt, the more gifted talker, came , he was gifted with the What treatment. The feud between them is interesting precisely because it is the best of kayfabe. Raw was greeted with two mammoth entrances and both teams have the right to claim the keys to the dungeons of darkness.

#5 The main event

Charlotte and Paige ended the show

As Roman Reigns and Cesaro were making their way for their match, it was quite interesting to interpret what will close out the show. The commentators were putting over the contract signing between Paige and Charlotte and then their was the last quarter final match of the tournament between Del Rio and Kalisto.

Well, there is was. Paige and Charlotte walked towards the ring to close out the show with their contract signing segment.

The thing is this comes after the Rousey Vs Holm UFC match created ripples around the world. Atleast it seems WWE is taking something away from it all. But they have a long way to go. There was so much WWE could have done to build to this moment. But this feud lacks fire. Anyway, hopefully this isn't the last time this year that women are closing out a show in WWE.
