A big blow for WWE WWE is hit big time by injuries. The list of injured superstars is growing as each day passes by and as we are on the road to WrestleMania, most of WWE’s plans are on a never-ending transformation spree. This past week, the rumor mill buzzed majorly about these injuries. There were rumors about the injury of two more superstars whereas the injury of John Cena forced WWE to change some big plans. Elsewhere, a possible name for the 2016 Hall of Fame class was also making rounds in the rumor mills. The real reason for the potential additions of New Japan Pro Wrestling stars to the WWE roster had a spot in the list as well. So without further introductions, here are the top rumors of this week and their analysis.

#5 Vader to the Hall of Fame class of 2016

Vader in 2016 Hall of Fame?

The members of the 2016 Hall of Fame class are yet to be revealed by WWE.

The internet has suggested a few notable names for the same and the most glaring one from the lot is that of Vader. The former WWE superstar recently teased about his induction on Social Media and if he is indeed an inductee, it would be a deserving achievement.

Vader had numerous spells in WWE and also spent some quality time in WCW, TNA, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and many other promotions. Sting is another name that could probably feature in this year’s class as he is unlikely to come out in a wrestling role at WrestleMania.

#4 Twist in the appearance of Dwayne Johnson

Not cleared to wrestle

A week back, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson confirmed that he will appear at WrestleMania 32.

We did not know in what capacity he would appear at the show and rumors started flooding about the same. Last week, the rumor mill suggested that Rock might come in to wrestle at the pay-per-view.

However – according to latest reports, Rock is not cleared to compete at Mania. If it’s true, it is a bad news for WWE considering the long list of injuries that they are suffering from. The next move WWE should make is to come up with an innovative way in which Rock could appear at the show.

#3 Why the WWE championship is defended in the Rumble match

Cena’s injury forced WWE to change their plans

The WWE championship being defended in the Royal Rumble match was not the initial plan that WWE had in mind.

They wanted to do something with John Cena – but since Cena suffered a big injury – the plan was revamped. The current angle for Royal Rumble is to let Triple H win the WWE championship and set up a WrestleMania bout with Reigns.

Also, WWE pulled out Cena from Raw this week to give more importance to Reigns and make the SmackDown appearance of Cena more special. Unfortunately, WWE will have to survive without the star power of Cena going ahead.

If it was not for his injury, we would have probably got a Cena vs. Reigns bout at WrestleMania.

#2 The real reasons behind new WWE signings

WWE has deep intentions

The rumors about WWE singing Bullet Club members were on an all-time high last week.

AJ Styles could make his debut at the Royal Rumble match whereas Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson and Shinsuke Nakamura could follow the lead. WWE is indeed planning to pull off a Bullet club like stable in the company.

WWE has been pushing the Balor Club merchandise, so read between the lines if you want. Meanwhile, the signing of Shinsuke Nakamura aims at pushing the WWE Network in Japan. The service was recently launched in the country and WWE is planning to use Nakamura as the face of the same.

#1 Another major injury

Possibly injured

More injury news headed WWE’s way last week.

After the injuries to Sasha Banks and John Cena, there are also rumors about Paige suffering from a potential injury. The former Divas champion has not been on television for quite some time and the internet suggests that she could be out for some the time to come.

Konnor of Ascension is also injured from the looks of it.

It is a blow for the tag team division even though the Ascension are not considered major movers. With so many injuries, WWE might think about bringing in talent from NXT along with thinking about changing their schedule a bit, so that the wrestlers would get more time to rest and heal.
