WrestleMania 31: 3 Possible Endings for Bellas vs. AJ Lee and Paige match

The divas championship looks all set to be shelved for WrestleMania as WWE will be going with a tag team bout from the division. AJ Lee and Paige will face the Bella Twins at the pay-per-view for nothing more than bragging rights. The title not being defended at the show is a big letdown to be frank and all the effort that happened in the social media goes in vain thanks to this.What we could now hope for is a solid match being put forward by the four girls. WWE should also not treat it as a toilet break and should give the girls some proper time to tell a story. The next question is about the climax of the match and here is a look at the three possible ways in which it could end.

#3 Bellas Explode, again

If you remember, WWE tried running a sibling feud between the Bellas right after SummerSlam. The idea bombed big time due to WWE’s lack of investment in the angle and without even acknowledging the end, the writers decided to patch the Bellas back together.

Now, considering how fluctuating the current angles are, don’t be surprised if we see another Bellas feud being sparked at Mania. So far, WWE has not shown any signs of the same but things could easily turn upside down now that Nikki has the divas championship around her waist.

Gold has been a great motive for sibling feuds in the past and it could turn out to be better than last time around if the company decides to pull all the right strings.

#2 Introduction of a fresher

Apart from being just a divas tag team match at WrestleMania, this will be a platform for WWE to introduce a new superstar into the mix. We have four of the top divas in the division at one place and a new girl coming out to confront these four would make an everlasting image.

Charlotte would be a prime candidate to get the stage. She is no longer the NXT Women’s champion and wouldn’t have much luggage if WWE decides to promote her to the main roster. A feud with the top names in the division is what she wants to make a name for herself in the initial run. Nikki being the champion also makes matters interesting as Charlotte could go straight into a feud with her.

Bailey is another possible debutant but since she is more like a happy babyface, Charlotte has the upper hand.

#1 Back to square one

While the Bellas exploding at the pay-per-view is a big possibility, the other team is fragile as well. Paige and AJ Lee have a rich history when it comes to being enemies. All of this could be dug back into the sunlight at WrestleMania so that WWE would have a feud between the two for the post- WrestleMania period.

Both divas have plenty of experience when it comes to wrestling at the top level and they could help make the ‘give divas a chance’ movement a reality. The Bellas could move on to a championship feud on the other end of the division with likes of Natalya or Naomi. It is a win-win situation for WWE if pulled off correctly and making Paige a babyface would work wonders as well.
