WrestleMania 31: 5 possible endings for Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns WWE Championship match

Like it or not, the WrestleMania main event will see Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. It is indeed a big risk from WWE’s side after what we saw in Royal Rumble where Reigns was crucified by the Philadelphia fans.Brock Lesnar’s on and off appearance on the road to WrestleMania is not helping to convince the fans as well. But now that the match is set on stone, there is no turning back for the WWE. Swimming against the tides and hoping for the best is the only thing that Vince McMahon could do now.Since we know about the start of this story, it would be fitting to think about the climax now. So here is a look at the possible ways in which the Roman Reings vs. Brock Lesnar match could end at WrestleMania 31.

#5 Revenge of the Phenom

Am I the only one who thinks Undertaker should settle his score with Brock Lesnar before retiring? Taker’s two decade long streak at WrestleMania came to an end last year thanks to Lesnar and we are yet to see a follow up angle of the match.

Despite having a lot of potential on it, WWE decided to keep Lesnar and Taker in different paths but now that Taker is returning to WrestleMania, it would only be fitting to let the two superstars cross paths.

According to the rumors, Taker would be having his retirement match at WrestleMania 32 and WWE could start the build from WrestleMania 31 itself. What they should do is let Taker distract Lesnar during the Main event and let Reigns win. It would set up a Taker vs. Lesnar rematch for next year and at the same time will help Reigns hold the gold.

#4 Seth Rollins comes in for cashing in

Most of the fans that look into the main event between Lesnar and Reigns only see two possibilities, Lesnar wins or Reigns wins. But one cannot simply ignore the possibility of Seth Rollins running down during the match and cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

Rollins has been the top heel in WWE ever since he broke up with the Shield and winning the title by cashing in at WrestleMania will only help him to cement his place on the top.

WWE could do it in two ways. They could let Rollins come in between the match or they could let him come down post match and ruin the moment of the winner. Either way, Rollins will be showered with heat from the fans.

#3 Paul Heyman turning on Brock Lesnar

Lesnar’s future in the WWE is pretty much up in the air and since he recently showed up in an UFC event, the rumors have gathered momentum. Lesnar leaving would be a headache for WWE but a bigger headache is Paul Heyman running around with a client.

So to solve the problem, WWE needs to have a new Paul Heyman guy and the best choice out there would be Roman Reigns. During the Lesnar – Reigns match; Heyman could turn on Lesnar and align with Reigns.

It would go down in history as one of the best swerves in WrestleMania history and on the longer, WWE will secure the future of Reigns as a Paul Heyman guy while Lesnar could go on and do whatever he likes in UFC.

#2 Lesnars domination continues

This climax is only possible if Lesnar signs a new deal with the company. The latest negotiations with the two parties did crash down on Monday Night but if they come up with a deal which will allow Lesnar to work in both UFC and WWE, then we could see the Beast stay for a longer run.

And if Vince McMahon has the luxury of Lesnar at his disposal post - WrestleMania, then WWE need not go with the predictive ending of Reigns winning the gold.

They could put over Lesnar once against at the biggest stage. It would bury Reigns for sure but WWE will be able to continue Lesnar’s momentum and save it for someone else rather than the Samoan Superman.

#1 WrestleMania moment for Roman Reings

What makes WrestleMania so special are the surreal moments. Undertaker’s streak getting broken, WrestleMania XX main events, Daniel Bryan’s memorable win, all were such moments and we could witness something similar this year as well thanks to Roman Reigns.

Over the past year, WWE has built up Lesnar as a larger than life character, who is almost impossible to defeat. So what happens when someone actually wins against Lesnar? A WrestleMania moment will be born.

Reigns winning clean at WrestleMania would mark the start of a new era in the WWE and if Vince McMahon is high on Reigns as the rumors suggest, then this would go down in the archives as a turning point in WWE’s history.
