New Orleans Pelicans v Chicago Bulls
New Orleans Pelicans v Chicago Bulls

After enduring an eight-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors (8-9) finally secured a comeback win when they defeated the Houston Rockets on Sunday. They will look to build off of this momentum when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans (9-7) tonight.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, are coming off a loss to the Boston Celtics, before which they were enjoying a three-game winning streak. With just 24 hours removed since the Warriors last played, the comparatively well-rested Pelicans are on home turf tonight and will no doubt be looking to bounce back and impress their home crowd.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Golden State Warriors Injury Report

On the Warriors' end, small forward Andre Iguodala will miss another game tonight owing to a hip injury he suffered earlier this month. He is not expected to play again until December.

The Pelicans are dealing with more injury woes. First up is shooting guard Trey Murphy III, whose status for tonight is questionable owing to ongoing foot problems. Worse still, the arguable MVP for the Pelicans this season, Zion Williamson, is dealing with a foot injury. Despite rumors abounding that he might miss tonight, the big man's official status is listed as probable for now. We might see him play despite the risk.

As has been the case all season, EJ Liddell will not be playing tonight owing to his ACL tear earlier this year.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Prediction

It's been a deeply disappointing season for the Warriors thus far. Despite an alarming number of losses already, the team's not without its bright spots. Look no further than shooting guard Klay Thompson's 41 points during the Houston game. Needless to say, the finest the Warriors have to offer right now is Stephen Curry, who has been the lead scorer for the team in all but three games thus far.

Despite some impressive displays from Thompson and Curry recently, the team overall have struggled to find their groove and will be coming into this game just one night after their Houston win. This is likely the Pelicans' game to win, even with the injuries some of their star players are dealing with right now. With Zion Williamson expected to be back tonight, the Pelicans could very well dominate given the Warriors' long-running struggles with away games until last night.

Prediction: New Orleans Pelicans -6 (-110)
