Australian Open 2019, Day 10: Schedule and Order of Play

The 2019 Australian Open is nearing the business end as two out of the four semi-finalists in both men's and women's singles have already been confirmed and in order to complete the semi-final line-up, four women and four men will compete on day 10 of the tournament.

The bottom half of both men's and women's singles have just two players left in the draw as world no. 2 Rafael Nadal will take on world no. 14 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the men's singles semi-final on Thursday, while eighth seed Petra Kvitova will face unseeded American Danielle Collins in the women's singles semi-final on Thursday.

The other semi-final match-up in both the sections will be decided on day 10, that will have over 60 matches taking place across all the courts at Melbourne Park and the action will get underway at 11 AM AEDT (5:30 AM IST).

There will be a total of four singles matches, two men's singles quarter-finals and two women's singles quarter-finals, while all the other matches will be competed among junior boys singles, junior girls singles and various doubles categories. Interestingly, all four quarter-final matches will be played on Rod Laver Arena.

Reigning US Open champion Naomi Osaka will play the first match on the court as she takes on sixth seed Elina Svitolina and it will be followed by the final women's singles quarter-final in which 16th seed Serena Williams will play seventh seed Karolina Pliskova.

The final match on the court in the day session will have 16th seed Milos Raonic and 28th seed Lucas Pouille playing each other and the winner of this match will face the winner of the first match of the night session on Rod Laver Arena, which will be contested between the top seed Novak Djokovic and eighth seed Kei Nishikori.

Local favourite Samantha Stosur will team up with Shuai Zhang to face the Czech duo of Barbora Strycova and Marketa Vondrousova to finish off the day on the main court.
