Bjorn Borg and his wife Patricia Ostfeld enjoyed each other's company during a relaxing vacation in Cape Verde.

Borg tied the knot with his third wife, Patricia Ostfeld, in June 2002. They welcomed their son Leo in May 2003. Following in his father's footsteps, Leo Borg pursued a career as a professional tennis player and made his ATP tour debut in 2021.

The former World No. 1 recently made an appearance at the 2023 Stockholm Open to support his son Leo during his campaign. The 20-year-old received a wildcard entry into the main draw of his home tournament. He played against with Laslo Djere in the opening round, suffering a 3-6, 3-6 defeat to the Serb.

Bjorn Borg and his wife Patricia Ostfeld have since embarked on a vacation to the island country of Cape Verde. Ostfeld shared a glimpse into their getaway to Sal Island on social media, posting a picture of them happily posing against the stunning beach views.

"Some time off in #caboverde🇨🇻 @hotelodjodagua 🥰❤️," she captioned her Instragram post.

She also offered a peek into their sublime dining experiences, featuring the backdrop of waves crashing on the shore and live music enhancing their meals.

Chris Evert's ex-husband and former British tennis player, John Lloyd, discussed how Bjorn Borg created a sensation at the Wimbledon Championships despite the absence of modern communication tools like the internet and social media.

"In those days obviously there was no internet, no cell phones, no nothing like that and he created a storm one year at Wimbledon. I still don’t to this day, don’t really know how he did it because there was no social media to publicise what he was doing," Lloyd said on the Rock n Roll Tennis podcast.

Lloyd recalled how the 11-time Grand Slam champion attracted an increasingly large fanbase of young women. The Brit also revealed that Borg's popularity grew to the point where police escorts became necessary.

"All of a sudden he had these women screaming in the crowd, these young women they called him ‘Teeny Bopper.’ It sort of grew the first day they were I don’t know fifty that were all screaming from different sorts of the call on Court No. 2 and then the next day he played and it grew to 200 and 300," Lloyd added.
"Next minute they had police guards escorts which in those days it never happened now of course it does. He became a sensation and he was like the tennis players' 'Beatle,'" he recalled.

Bjorn Borg achieved remarkable success at Wimbledon over the course of his illustrious career, winning five consecutive titles at SW19 between 1974 and 1981.
