#1 Andy Murray vs Daniil Medvedev

Top seed Daniil Medvedev will look to regain the No. 1 ranking from Novak Djokovic with a fine run at the Miami Open. However, he faces a tough opponent in the shape of Andy Murray in the second round.

While the three-time Grand Slam champion has been nowhere near his best in the last few years, he is capable of springing an upset or two.

Nonetheless, Medvedev will be favored to win what will be his second meeting with Murray, having beaten the Brit in their previous encounter in 2019.

Predicted winner: Daniil Medvedev

#2 Stefanos Tsitsipas vs JJ Wolf

Third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas will face qualifier JJ Wolf in the second round of the Miami Open. The two locked horns in the second round of the Mexican Open earlier this year, with Tsitsipas winning 6-1, 6-0.

The Greek has had a few good runs this season and will look to impress in the Miami Open as well. He will enter the match against Wolf as the firm favorite.

Predicted Winner: Stefanos Tsitsipas

#3 Felix Auger Aliassime vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Auger-Aliassime has produced some impressive performances this year, making the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, winning the title at the Rotterdam Open and reaching the final at Marseille.

The Canadian faces a pretty tough opponent in Miomir Kecmanovic first up in Miami.

This will be the second meeting between the two, with the Serb winning their previous encounter at the Cincinnati Masters in 2019.

The match will be a tough one given the run of form Kecmanovic has been on, but Auger-Aliassime should manage to get the better of the Serb.

Predicted winner: Felix Auger-Aliassime

#4 Hubert Hurkacz vs Arthur Rinderknech

After reaching the semifinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships and the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters, Hurkacz will aim to have a good run at the Miami Open.

The Pole will face Arthur Rinderknech in the second round in what will be the very first meeting between the two players.

Predicted winner: Hubert Hurkacz

#5 Taylor Fritz vs Mikhail Kukushkin

Taylor Fritz will enter the Miami Open high on confidence after defeating Rafael Nadal to win the Indian Wells Masters last week. The American will begin his Miami Open campaign against Mikhail Kukushkin in the second round.

This will be the third meeting between the two players, with Fritz leading the head-to-head 2-0.

Given the 24-year-old's current run of form, he will be the heavy favorite to win the match and reach the third round of the Miami Open.

Predicted winner: Taylor Fritz

#6 Carlos Alcaraz vs Marton Fucsovics

Carlos Alcaraz is one of the players to look out for in Miami. The Spaniard won his maiden ATP 500 title in Rio earlier this year before reaching the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters. He was beaten by Rafael Nadal in a tightly contested three-set match.

Alcaraz will take on Hungary's Marton Fucsovics in his Miami opener. The Spaniard beat the Hungarian last year and will be the heavy favorite to win this match.

Predicted winner: Carlos Alcaraz

#7 Denis Shapovalov vs Lloyd Harris

Denis Shapovalov starts off his campaign in Miami against Lloyd Harris. This will be the third meeting between the two players, with the South African leading the head-to-head 2-0.

However, Harris has been in dismal form of late and Shapovalov will fancy his chances of notching up a win.

Predicted winner: Denis Shapovalov

#8 Roberto Bautista Agut vs Kamil Majchrzak

Roberto Bautista Agut will face Poland's Kamil Majchrzak for the very first time in his career in the second round in Miami.

The Spaniard won the Qatar Open this year and will look to have a good run in Miami as well. If he beats Majchrzak, Bautista Agut will face either Nikoloz Basilashvili or Jenson Brooksby in the third round.

Predicted winner: Roberto Bautista Agut
