Boris Becker shows support for Simona Halep amid her second doping breach

Boris Becker, meanwhile, has voiced his unwavering support for Simona Halep in light of her second doping violation.
On May 19, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced that the Romanian has been charged with a second violation of anti-doping regulations.
Halep has been under provisional suspension since October 2022, following a positive test for the banned substance roxadustat at the 2022 US Open last year. Roxadustat which is known to stimulate the production of red blood cells, can enhance athletic performance.
The ITIA charged the two-time Grand Slam winner once again for irregularities in her Athlete Biological Passport. The Athlete Biological Passport program is designed to continuously monitor biological data to identify potential doping violations.
Following the incident, Becker took to Instagram to express his support for Simona Halep. He extended his heartfelt wishes to her, hoping that she would overcome the situation.
"Good luck Simona," Becker captioned his Instagram story.
