Casper Ruud shared the joyous news of his engagement to longtime girlfriend Maria Galligani. The couple, who made their relationship official in 2018, have frequently appeared together at public events, showing off their close bond over the years.

2018 marked a significant milestone in Ruud's life and career. In January, he made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the Australian Open, establishing himself on tennis' biggest stage. Later that year, in November, he publicly introduced his relationship with Galligani by sharing their picture together.

Fast forward to six years in November 2024, Ruud and Galligani delighted fans by announcing their engagement on Instagram. The couple shared stunning beachside photos to commemorate the special occasion.

Ruud donned a light pink shirt paired with white pants, a look that complemented the coastal setting. Meanwhile, Galligani looked elegant in a simple white dress with short sleeves, adding a romantic touch to the atmosphere.

Although the couple announced the engagement on Tuesday, November 26, they got engaged on November 20. The Norwegian tennis star captioned his Instagram post:

"Can’t wait to marry you💍🤍"

Galligani wrote (translated from Norwegian):

Galligani is a psychologist, as noted on her LinkedIn profile. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Oslo Nye Høyskole in 2020. She then pursued advanced studies, completing her Master's degree in Psychology at the University of Southern Denmark in 2022.

Casper Ruud and Maria Galligani have an adorable third member in their small family: their dog Bajas. He is a Maltese Shih Tzu, born in October 2020. The couple loves their dog and he also has a dedicated Instagram account with over 50 posts.

In July 2022, Bajas accompanied Ruud to training during the Swedish Open in Bastad. An adorable video sharing glimpses of the dog on the clay court was shared on Ruud's Instagram account.

Earlier this year, Casper Ruud had a disappointing run at the Australian Open, exiting in the third round after a loss to Cameron Norrie. However, his dog Bajas remained blissfully indifferent to the setback.
