Coco Gauff, a well-known Marvel fan, was thrilled to see a photo of herself reimagined as the Marvel superhero, Black Panther.
The Black Panther movie franchise is set in the fictional kingdom of Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation.The franchise has received widespread critical acclaim for its powerful storytelling, visually stunning world-building, and diverse cast of characters. It is widely regarded as a cultural touchstone and a landmark moment in representation for people of color in Hollywood.
The Tennis Channel Twitter account shared a rendering of Coco Gauff as Black Panther in the second installment of the franchise, 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.'
"Can't leave the queen out," the account captioned the post.
Coco Gauff shared her love for the artwork as she reposted it to her Twitter account with laughing emojis.
It is no surprise that the 18-year-old would love the photo given that she has previously shared her admiration for the level of representation the Black Panther franchise offers to people of color. She watched the film during a movie-night date with her younger brother Codey, who was dressed up in a Black Panther mask.

The account posted another image in which various tennis players were reimagined as Avengers characters. The tweet portrayed Novak Djokovic as Iron Man, Maria Sakkari as Black Widow, Stefanos Tsitsipas as Loki and Frances Tiafoe as Captain America among others.
Coco Gauff shared her appreciation for LeBron James' record breaking achievement
Like much of the tennis community, Coco Gauff also shared her admiration for LeBron James' historical achievement of surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time leading scorer.
James surpassing the 39-year-old record in his 20th year in the NBA further bolstered his GOAT status. Representing the Los Angeles Lakers in their match against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James scored 38 points to register an all-time record of 38,390, beating Abdul-Jabbar's record of 38,387.
Gauff was not immune to the greatness of the moment as she shared her praise for James on Twitter. She reposted a photo of LeBron James creating history with a crown emoji.
The World No. 6 also crowned LeBron James as the GOAT of Basketball.

After a fourth-round loss to Jelena Ostapenko at the 2023 Australian Open, Coco Gauff will return to the court at the WTA 500 Qatar Open in Doha. Scheduled to begin on February 13, the tournament will feature Iga Swiatek, Ons Jabeur, Jessica Pegula among others.
