Daria Kasatkina and her long-time girlfriend, Natalia Zabiiako, recently announced their engagement, and the news on Pride Month garnered love from the former's fellow players, Katie Boulter, Jennifer Brady, and others. Daria Kasatkina, who was in the run for the French Open title at Roland Garros, made it to the fourth round before succumbing to Mirra Andreeva in straight sets. She will next take the court at the Queen's Club Championships, set to clash with Sonay Kartal in the opening round.
Before any tennis development, the Australian player announced her engagement with her Estonian-Russian girlfriend, Zabiiako, one week into Pride Month. As per a recent Instagram post by the former, the figure skater wore the diamond ring as Kasatkina lovingly held her hand, captioned:
"And just like that"

"Ahh.. Congrats"

American player Jennifer Brady, who peaked at No. 13 in the WTA rankings, chimed in and congratulated the couple, writing:
"Congrats Dasha and Natalia!!!"
Echoing the sentiments, Arina Rodionova confirmed that she would attend the wedding regardless of the invitation.

"YESEEEESSSSSEESSS"
Other players like Daria Seville and Payton Stears also congratulated the couple.

Daria Kasatkina narrated her conversation with a fellow player after her nationality switch

Daria Kasatkina has always been vocal about how being queer is a taboo in her former nation, forcing her to keep her sexuality concealed for a significant time. She decided to be an Australian citizen to live on her terms and became a resident on March 29, 2025.
In conversation with The Guardian Australia, the 28-year-old shared the anecdote of breaking news to her friend and fellow player, Daria Saville, who showed support to her not just verbally but has been helping her find a place in Melbourne.
"I was not telling anyone before it came out. Dasha called me straightaway and she was so excited. She was so happy for me and I felt so happy because she was super-happy for me. It was so natural and now we’re real neighbours. I could not have a better neighbour. She’s always happy, she’s one of the happiest people, I’ve known her a long time, but it’s special that she feels so happy for me. And now we’re part of one team. She’s sending me locations, everything. I have to look deeper into it.”
Kasatkina peaked at No. 8 in the WTA rankings and boasts eight WTA Tour singles titles in her resume.
