Maria Sharapova embraced the tranquil spirit of Thanksgiving during her picturesque getaway with her fiance Alexander Gilkes and son Theodore. The Russian relished being free from all responsibilities as she enjoyed some downtime with her family.
Since the birth of their son Theodore in July 2022, Sharapova and Gilkes have been introducing him to sightseeing experiences. Earlier this year, the former World No. 1 toured the Wimbledon grounds with her family. The Russian also often shares glimpses of the family's weekend getaways, offering peeks of Theodore enjoying time at the beach and pier.
For Thanksgiving, Maria Sharapova chose to embark on a hiking adventure with her fiance Alexander Gilkes and son Theodore, documenting their fun outing on social media as they gathered flowers and enjoyed nature.
Sharapova also expressed her delight at how "peaceful" Thanksgiving was in the United States, showing off her scenic view as she relished the absence of emails, online meetings, and tasks like organizing gymnastics classes for her son.
"I forgot how peaceful this holiday is in the US. No emails. No zooms. No kids gymnastics classes. No invoices," Sharapova posted on her Instagram story.
Apart from gymnastics, Maria Sharapova has also introduced her son Theodore to tennis, gifting him an adorable miniature racket. However, the former World No. 1 admitted that it remained to be seen whether he would develop an interest in the sport.

Maria Sharapova has been open about her love of traveling with her son Theodore, expressing her delight at witnessing him "discover things in life for the first time."
In an interview with the Tennis Channel during the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, the former World No. 1 opened up about how she learned from exploring the world alongside the two-year-old.
"It's been one of the best things that's happened to me in my life and I get to teach him and grow with him. I get to learn through his actions and his findings. He's exploring the world and I get to explore with him. He has very long eyelashes and I don't know where they come from but I appreciate them," Sharapova said.
The five-time Grand Slam champion also shared that her tennis career and business experience had equipped her with the negotiation skills she could apply to motherhood.
"It's going. There's a lot of negotiation skills that go on with parenthood which I didn't know that the negotiations that I learned through my career in business and in the sport that I would apply to parenthood. But I'm learning about that every day. You got to give something to take something," she said.
Sharapova has previously spoken about the struggle of balancing her career with being a mother, highlighting the "guilt" she felt when leaving home without Theodore.
