The tennis couple Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas are currently on vacation in Iceland. The Spaniard recently shared a handful of special moments from their ice-covered surroundings, with one of them being a romantic kiss in front of a scenic waterfall.
Badosa enjoyed a resurgence in 2024. The former World No. 2 was plagued by injuries (and form struggles whenever she played) for much of 2023 and the first half of this year. However, she turned things around from the Italian Open onwards, and went on to win the Citi Open title, marking her fourth WTA Tour-level title triumph. She ended the year as the World No. 12.
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas displayed glimpses of his brilliance throughout the year. Unfortunately, barring his Monte Carlo Masters success and the Barcelona Open runner-up finish, he had an inconsistent 2024. He failed to qualify for the year-end Nitto ATP Finals but eventually did go to Turin, only as an alternate.
Recently, Badosa took to her Instagram and shared four moments from the couple's ongoing Iceland getaway. The temperature was chilly -4°C, as mentioned in one of the Spaniard's posts. Another featured Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas locked in a romantic kiss with a breathtaking waterfall behind them.
Badosa previously expressed her admiration for Tsitsipas' photography skills on their Iceland getaway. The couple also spent a cozy night in the freezing cold of the Nordic Island nation watching a movie.
Paula Badosa names Stefanos Tsitsipas her "favorite photographer" during Iceland vacation; spends night watching movie with Greek
Paula Badosa gushed over Stefanos Tsitsipas' talent behind the camera in Iceland. The Greek has a passion for photography and has previously shared several eclectic pictures that he has captured on his travels.
The Spaniard, clearly impressed with Tsitsipas' photography skills, took to Instagram and claimed that there is "no filter needed" to enhance the resulting pictures.
"My fav photographer... no filter needed," Badosa wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story.
Tsitsipas later shared a heartwarming moment of the two tucked together inside their fuzzy blankets as they sipped on what looked like a hot beverage and enjoyed a movie.
On the tennis front, the lovebirds are expected to feature in competitive action again right from the start of the 2025 season.
