Serena Williams enjoyed herself in the pool, embracing the swimsuit season, as her daughter Olympia's school closed for the summer. Three years into retirement, Williams often shares a peek into her personal life despite not dissociating from the sporting realm.
Serena Williams, inarguably one of the best players in tennis history, retired after playing in the third round of the 2022 US Open. Since then, she has been connected to the sport in leadership and other roles, invested in sporting clubs like the Angel City FC, and became a founding member of the Los Angeles Golf Club of TGL.
Boasting a business career, Serena Williams often shares social media posts about quality family time with her husband and tech mogul Alexis Ohanian, and two daughters, Adira and Olympia. In a recent post, the 23-time Grand Slam winner was seen embracing the swimsuit season and enjoying herself in the pool in a striped monokini.
In her caption, she expressed joy in finally welcoming the summer after her daughter's school closed for a break.
"Schools out ... it's summer and swimsuit season … hope you are ready!"
Another part of the legendary player's summer activity was getting her first cryotherapy, a treatment using ice-cold water to treat skin conditions or destroy abnormal tissues. On June 11, 2025, she shared a couple of pictures from the session and admitted staying only three minutes.
"I was trying to make Cryotherapy, couture. 🥶 I failed. Day 1 I did 2 min 45 sec at -110 degrees. Let’s see how long I last tomorrow 💪🏿#wellnessjourney #cryotherapy #summervacation #taketimeforyourself #fyp," her Instagram post caption read.
Williams attended the annual Robin Hood Gala with her family last month. The family stayed out till late, but the former tennis pro and Ohanian returned home for the sake of their daughters.
Serena Williams recently received acclaim from Coco Gauff for inspiring her to take up tennis

Serena Williams has been a dominant force, winning the most titles for a woman in the Open Era and the only player to accomplish a Career Golden Slam in singles and doubles. At the recently concluded French Open, Coco Gauff won the women's singles title, the first for an American woman since Williams in 2015.
Speaking with NBC News, the 21-year-old expressed pride in being in a conversation alongside Williams, since the latter inspired her to pursue tennis.
"It means a lot (to be the first American woman to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015). She's the reason I picked up the racket and the sport and have the belief that I do."
The Williams sisters, Serena and Venus, will start their video podcast on X Originals in August, 2025.
