Naomi Osaka says she is "shocked" and "honored" at becoming the first person to collaborate on a Victoria's Secret collection

Naomi Osaka recently announced her collaboration with Victoria's Secret for a new campaign. Osaka is making history as the first person to ever collaborate on a collection with the iconic brand.

Osaka has created a collection of sustainably-made, comfortable sleepwear and intimatewear with Victoria's Secret. The collection will be made available to the public from February 22nd through online forums.

The 25-year-old's signature style is reflected in the collection, which can also be used as maternitywear. The apparel is designed with sustainable fabric, keeping the environment in mind.

The casual sleep pieces are crafted from a unique blended TENCEL Lyocell sourced from responsibly managed forests. Additionally, select intimate pieces are partially made from recycled materials, making this collection both stylish and eco-friendly.

Osaka expressed her excitement at joining the campaign through her social media, writing:

"So honored to present to you the Naomi x @victoriassecret collection 🐻🌸❤️ I was shocked to hear this but apparently I’m the first person to ever collaborate with Victoria’s Secret on a collection and I’m so humbled and appreciative 🥹 every piece in the collection is made out of recyclable material and the whole premise of the collection centers around chasing your dreams so I hope you enjoy everything as much as I do ❤️ #VSxNaomi."

The Japanese tennis star is an accomplished fashion designer in her own right, and has previously participated in events like the New York Fashion Week. Osaka collaborated with Japanese-American fashion house Adeam to design the outfits that debuted on the catwalk during their Fall 2020 presentation.

Naomi Osaka was recently spotted on a tennis court for the first time since her pregnancy announcement. She was accompanied by tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, as well as Agassi's former coach Brad Gilbert.

Osaka has been out of the public eye since 2023, with the exception of her attendance at the Super Bowl. On Sunday, however, social media was abuzz with a picture of Osaka showing up on a tennis court along with Agassi and Graf.

After making the announcement of her pregnancy to the world, Naomi Osaka revealed that she would be returning to tour in 2024. She plans to take a break from the professional tennis circuit to spend quality time with her child before resuming her career.
