Watch: Andre Agassi's adorable reaction to Steffi Graf's arrival at Pickleball Slam

Andre Agassi had a star cheerleader in the stands in the form of wife Steffi Graf at the recently concluded Pickleball Slam.

The inaugural Pickleball Slam – a one day affair that was held on Sunday, April 2 – saw the likes of American tennis royalty Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, John McEnroe and Michael Chang battle it out for a $1 million purse.

A total of three matches were held, with McEnroe edging out Agassi (15-13, 16-14) and Roddick dismissing Chang (15-10, 15-10) in singles. This was followed by a significant doubles encounter where Agassi and Roddick teamed up to outclass the pairing of McEnroe and Chang (21-15, 21-23, 12-10).

To watch the finale unfold, Andre Agassi’s wife – 22-time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf made a supportive special appearance. The American, who was on the court, was adorably distracted and waved at Graf after seeing the legend on the screen as she marked her arrival.

Later on, seven-time Slam champion McEnroe convinced Steffi Graf to hit the court and the German happily obliged, leading to the power couple entertaining the crowd with a fun pickleball rally.

Apart from his wife, Agassi’s daughter Jaz also actively cheered for the eight-time Major winner and shared glimpses of the event on her social media.

"I am playing this as long as I can walk" – Andre Agassi after Pickleball Slam participation

Andre Agassi had the time of his life at the Pickleball Slam held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

After his participation, the American legend declared that he will be playing the recreational sport as long as his legs permit.

"100% guys. I never thought I was gonna say this, but I am playing this as long as I can walk. I can't wait to get back out there. Pickleball is where tennis players go to die," the 52-year-old said.

Earlier, Andre Agassi, who had been training for the Pickleball Slam since February, similarly revealed that he will continue to play the paddle sport beyond the event. He noted that the activity is a great form of exercise.

"I'm going to play beyond this event just because I've learned it's a great form of exercise outlet," the former World No. 1 said.

He further observed that the pickleball community constantly strives to be better versions of themselves when playing.

"One of the things I recognized with all the pickleball community, is they always want to measure themselves and they always want to feel like they're better than they are," he stated.
