Coco Gauff's mother, Candi, was seen sharing a proud moment with her daughter entering the Philippe Chatrier ahead of her 2025 French Open final against Aryna Sabalenka. While the American is contesting in the final of the Paris Major for the second time in her career, the Belarusian is in her first non-hardcourt Major final.

Candi has been one of the biggest pillars of support in Gauff's career and has been a constant member in her box, cheering her on. The 21-year-old's mother is also ready to give her daughter all the support she wants for her match against Sabalenka in the French Open final. In an adorable moment, Candi was seen proudly taking a video of her daughter as she made her way to the Philippe Chatrier amid stellar applause.

Coco Gauff had a shaky start to her 2025 season but has bounced back in style at the European clay swing, reaching three consecutive finals. She made it to the finals of the WTA 1000 events in Madrid and Rome, and then stunned her naysayers by reaching the French Open final.

It is worth noting that her father, Corey, is missing from her box.

During an on-court interview following her win over Magdalena Frech in the fourth round of the Australian Open, Coco Gauff was asked why her father was missing from her team box. The American let out a big laugh as soon as the question was asked and said,

"Yeah my dad is here, don't know where but he is here somewhere. My mom does better holding her nerves in the box," Gauff quipped.

She then revealed the reason behind not having her father in her box. The American also mentioned how the final time her father was in her box was at Wimbledon in 2023, where she lost in the opening round, and then touched upon how she immediately won the US Open amid her father's absence from his box.

"So my dad you know sometimes says some words that I can't say right here and then I hear him and I get mad so um we agreed so that he can go say them somewhere else around here," Coco Gauff said.
"Wimbledon was probably the last time I will ever see him in my box," Gauff said during the interview. "Yeah I mean I am not superstitious at all (but) he's incredibly superstitious," she added.

Gauff's box also features her coaches Matt Daly and Jean-Christophe Faurel. Daly joined her team in 2024, and the partnership paid dividends from the get-go as the American unlocked a new level for the latter stages of the 2025 season, which ended with her winning the WTA Finals. Meanwhile, Faurel has been a long-time member of her team.
