Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, and other tennis stars had to make a tough choice as they were asked to pick the winner between two Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Widely considered as football's biggest match, the 'El Clasico' will be played on Monday, April 22, at iconic Santiago Bernabeu. FC Barcelona will take on Real Madrid in La Liga as they look to chase the table toppers down. Real is currently at the top of the table with 78 points, with Barca trailing them by eight points.

In a fun video shared by Tennis TV, the stars of the tennis world were asked to choose the winner between the two historic rivals. The players are in Spain, competing for the 2024 Barcelona Open. Some players gave a straightforward answer while others were left confused as to which team to choose between Barca and Real Madrid.

World No. 8 Alexander Rublev who, as he admitted, does not follow football like the rest of the players do. So, he was left speechless and could only laugh after he had to make a choice. The Russian replied:

"I don't watch football, other players watch football. How was the last few matches? Tell me at least to know!!"

He then preferred not to take any side and picked a safer option. He concluded by saying:

"Okay, I'll do more simple. It's gonna be 1-1."(Laughs)

Whereas Casper Ruud was pretty much ready with his answer as he quickly responded with Barcelona's name. He even explained why he chose Barca over Madrid.

Ruud said:

"Well I'm gonna go for Barcelona, we're in Barcelona right. They have been building a pretty good team lately."

The 2024 Monte Carlo Masters winner, Stephanos Tsitsipas, also chose Barcelona as his pick to win the El Clasico this Monday. He said:

"Of course this one(Barca jersey), are you kidding me. It happens to be a coincidence, I'm also a fan of this team so barca!!"

Many other tennis players also picked their winner. Australia's Alex de Minaur, who recently beat Rafael Nadal at the Barcelona Open, said Real Madrid will win the match by a 2-1 margin. While Argentina's Sebastian Baez favored Barcelona to win the tie.

British player Cameron Norrie wishes to make La Liga interesting, so picked Barca ahead of Real Madrid. He said:

"I'm gonna go with Barcelona. Because i know that Madrid is winning the league and i would like to keep it interesting."

In the last five encounters between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Madrid has the upper hand with three wins to Barca's two. Both teams will look to win and solidify their position in the points table.
