Iga Swiatek remains atop the newly released WTA rankings, kicking off a 51st consecutive week as the World No. 1. However, Aryna Sabalenka is hot on her heels.

Swiatek failed to defend her title at Indian Wells, while the Belarusian finished as the runner-up. The former currently has a lead of 3235 points, but Sabalenka can reduce the gap further if she performs well at the Miami Open.

Jessica Pegula remained steady at No. 3, while Caroline Garcia (No. 4) and Ons Jabeur (No. 5) traded places with each other. They're followed by Coco Gauff at No. 6.

Elena Rybakina finally scored her first win over Sabalenka by defeating her in the Indian Wells final. By claiming her maiden WTA 1000 title on Sunday, she moved up by three spots to No. 7, a new career high.

Daria Kasatkina (No. 8) and Belinda Bencic (No. 9) hold on their positions from the previous week. Maria Sakkari, however, fell by three places to No. 10 as a semifinal exit from Indian Wells saw her lose some points, where she was a finalist the previous year.

Petra Kvitova and Barbora Krejcikova are on the cusp of entering the top 10 yet again. The Czech duo rose by three places each this week to No. 12 and No. 13 respectively.

Emma Raducanu climbs up the WTA rankings after a good result at Indian Wells

Emma Raducanu is expected to be back in the top 70 of the WTA rankings after the Miami Open.

Emma Raducanu's fourth-round showing at Indian Wells marked her first notable result in quite some time. The Brit defeated top 20 players Magda Linette and Beatriz Haddad Maia before falling to Iga Swiatek.

As a result, Raducanu moved up five spots to No. 72 in this week's WTA rankings. She's expected to perform similarly at the upcoming Miami Open now that she's relatively healthy. However, the 20-year-old will need to get past Bianca Andreescu in the first round there.

Elsewhere in the rankings, Karolina Muchova and Rebecca Peterson are among the biggest movers of the week. The Czech's quarterfinal finish at Indian Wells pushed her up by 21 spots to No. 55.

Peterson made it to the fourth round there, which was enough to help her move from outside the top 100 to No. 76. Magda Linette (No. 19), Qinwen Zheng (No. 23) and Marta Kostyuk (No. 39) are some of the notable names to unlock new rankings milestones this week.
