This week's WTA rankings sees Linda Noskova and Alycia Parks reach new career highs as they continue their steady rise to the top. The two have been in the spotlight due to their recent performances and continue to deliver promising results.

Parks cracked the top 80 towards the end of 2022 after claiming consecutive WTA 125 titles. She couldn't make it to the main draw of the Australian Open after falling in the qualifying rounds, but has bounced back in spectacular fashion. The 22-year-old defeated Julia Grabher, Petra Martic, Danka Kovinic, and Maryna Zanevska to reach her maiden WTA final at the Lyon Open.

Parks was the underdog in the final as she was up against World No. 5 Caroline Garcia. However, she outplayed her heavily favored opponent to clinch her first WTA title. She jumped 28 spots in this week's rankings to No. 51 thanks to her title-winning run.

Linda Noskova also competed in the Lyon Open and made it to the quarterfinals, where she lost to Camila Osorio. Nevertheless, she unlocked a new career peak for herself as she rose by six places to No. 50. The teenager, along with Parks, will be competing in the Linz Open this week.

Zhu Lin defeated Lesia Tsurenko to capture her first WTA title at the Thailand Open on Sunday. She jumped 13 spots to No. 41, a new career high for her. The Chinese player is enjoying a career-best season at the age of 29. She earlier made it to the fourth round of a Major for the first time at the Australian Open.

Iga Swiatek is yet to surrender the World No. 1 ranking since ascending to the top last year. This week marks her 45th straight week as the top-ranked player in the world. However, she's defending quite a few points until the conclusion of the French Open.

Aryna Sabalenka is also closing the gap between herself and Swiatek. The Belarusian is not defending as many points over the next few months, so a tussle for the top spot is on the horizon. The rest of the top 10 in this week's WTA rankings remains unchanged from last week.

Bianca Andreescu had to retire due to an injury midway through her semifinal clash at the Thailand Open. She still managed to rise by five places to No. 37 this week. The Canadian confirmed her presence at this week's Abu Dhabi Open despite the latest injury setback.
