World No. 1 Iga Swiatek recently returned former World No. 1 Andy Murray's compliments after the Scot reacted to Swiatek's performance at the ongoing Dubai Tennis Championships.

The Pole continued her dominance in the Middle East as she decimated Liudmila Samsonova 6-0, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Following her win over her Russian counterpart, renowned tennis journalist Jose Morgado highlighted Swiatek's current red-hot form on social media. He stated how well Swiatek has performed in the Middle East this season.

"Iga Swiatek beats Liudmila Samsonova 6-1, 6-0 to reach the QFs in Dubai. That's 5 consecutive wins in Middle East losing a total of 8 games. 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. All the player she beat were top 20 or former GS finalists. Unbelievable," Morgado tweeted.

Murray, 35, quote-tweeted the post and heaped praise on the 21-year-old.

"She is different [fire emoji]," Andy Murray wrote.

Iga Swiatek replied to the three-time Grand Slam winner's appreciation and further complimented the 35-year-old for being a "role model and an inspiration." The youngster also thanked Murray for his contributions to the game.

"And you are a resilience role model and an inspiration on do many levels. Thank you for everything that you do for this sport," the Pole wrote.

Iga Swiatek is set to take on former World No. 1 Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Swiatek beat Leylah Fernandez 6-1, 6-1 in the first round in Dubai.

The Pole has been in fine form since her unexpected exit in the fourth round of the Australian Open.

Playing in the season's first Grand Slam, the 21-year-old lost to the 2022 Wimbledon winner and eventual runner-up Elena Rybakina. The Kazakh star beat the top seed in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to qualify for the last eight of the Major.

However, the two-time French Open champion made an incredible comeback and showed her class at the Qatar Open. Up against American Danielle Collins in the first round, the Pole registered an easy win as she bageled Collins in the first set. Swiatek received a walkover from Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals.

The 2022 US Open winner once again decimated her opponent in the semifinals, Veronika Kudermetova, 6-0, 6-1. In the summit clash, Swiatek defeated Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-0.
